"Check her bag!" Kendra commanded, and I clutched my bag tightly, shaking my head furiously.
"Don't you dare!" I pulled my bag away as Kendra reached for it. "Can you just stop? There's nothing in my bag!"
"Miss, if you're not hiding anything, you should let me check your bag," the security guard said calmly, placing his hand in front of me. "I'll take a look, and if I find nothing, you can go."
My heart raced as I reluctantly handed my bag to the guard. I held my breath, my shaking hand pressed against my chest, watching him unzip it.
I shouldn’t have felt scared since I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong, but with my devious sister around and something missing, I couldn’t shake the feeling that she might have pulled another stunt to frame me.
