Lyra's POV I grumbled as the ringing of my phone woke me. I let the phone ring off without attempting to pick it up. I had slept late. Dinner with Carter had taken longer than I thought. I didn't even know that time was that far spent. By the time Carter brought me to the hotel, he had booked rooms for the driver and me; it was already very late at night. I felt guilty when I called my mum and she said Charlie was already asleep. I had sent a text to my mum to inform her that I got to Pittsburgh safely.
