‘Will you be going to the Christmas fair with us?’ Charlie asked Angel.
‘I don't think so Charlie,’ Angel answered without looking up from the puzzle they were arranging on the floor.
‘Why? It's going to be fun. Uncle River said there are going to be special events there for kids,’ Charlie said, trying in his way to convince Angel to go.
‘I am not a kid, Charlie,’ Angel said sighing.
‘Uncle River said …’ Charlie was going to quote one of River's words but I cut into it to stop him.
‘Charlie, why not go and keep Uncle Phil’s company for a while? I want to talk to Aunty Angel,' I said. Charlie nodded happily and off he went.
