With the way Lyra's shoulders were, I knew she was angry, and River was probably going to have my head because I went to Logsville without his consent, but I didn't care.
No matter how many times River said he was doing what he was doing for himself more than he was doing it for me, I was still going to blame myself if he lost the only woman he had truly loved for the sake of avenging my father and bringing Fisher down.
I was there that morning when River received the call from the person watching Lyra that Carter was in Logsville. River's mood had been bad but I watched as it went from bad to worse after that call.
