Respect what was meant to be respected before its late.
Ayaan's Pov.
It was 4 am in the morning when I woke up to offer my Tahajud swalah and to check on ummi as well. Alhamdulillah for everything that has happened in my life so far. The bad and the good times.
My main motive at this stage was to get a better job and serve my family. After having done with my prayers and supplications, I neatly folded my prayer mat, and headed back to my bed for a rest.
It was almost 9 in the morning, when I freshened up and got dressed for an interview at Artitech sons and company. I'd applied to certain companies while on my final stay at the university. Luckily I received a call earlier this morning.
Hoping that everything will go accordingly, I walked down the street heading towards the bus Station. It was better and a good impression to them if I reached beforehand.
My heart throbbed as I continued walking, when a woman stopped me, requesting for a helping hand with her goods.
Knowing that time wasn't In my favor, as i was yet to catch a bus, I quickly assisted the woman and walked away in a faster pace. Hoped into the next bus that arrived and reached my destination.
Right outside the company, I walked towards the entrance of the building heading towards the reception.
"Hello ma'am, I'm here for an interview."
"Good morning sir, just a second, I'll call in for an inquiry, meanwhile, please have a seat."
"Yeah sure ma'am." As I walked towards the couch and relaxed myself."
"Please call me Ashley" with a smile on her face.
"Well am Ayaan."
"Hello sir, a man named Ayaan informed that he was called upon for an interview." Widening her smile as she continued speaking over the phone. Meanwhile, i took the magazine that was placed over the table and started flipping through the pages, when I came across a picture of a person I seemed to recognize from the Airport.
'BUSINESS TYCOON MR ASAD FIGHTS CANCER FOR THE SECOND TIME.' Curious as I was, I read through the page, when Ashley called over showing me the way towards the office. I walked along, as I kept praying and hoping for its success. My desperation grew ten times more than it was before.
Just stepping inside the office made my breathing rapid and shallow. I could feel my pulse pounding in my temples, with my hands turning ice cold I stared around the office, that had one sided violet painted wall and the rest white. A black carpeted floor and a burgundy lathered table and chairs. An occupied table that barely had space for any paperwork.
I sat down as signaled by the interviewer.
"So you are Mr Ayaan Maher, may I go through your CV once more?"
"Hello sir, yes indeed I am." As I handed over the file to him.
Looking through it, raising his eyebrows and tapping his fingers on the table, which sent chills through my body, making space for nervousness to hit hard. Worried as I was, couldn't wait for his opinions and decision any longer. I never doubted my capabilities, but this time round, supporting my family was everything I had to achieve.
After a few minutes of silence, he finally spoke asking me several questions that were required. The urge to know of my appointment was growing deep within. At last, he asked in for a handshake. "Congratulations Mr Ayaan, you have been qualified for the job."
"Thank you so much." I sat back and let the happiness soak right into my bones.
"You can start your duty as of tomorrow."
"Sure sir." I couldn't control but smile so hard as happiness erupted from within. I walked out of the building making my way towards home.
As I was walking, I passed by a huge building that named ASAD GROUP OF COMPANY. A quick flashback of what I read appeared before my eyes, as I stared at the building. A vivid image of a person standing near the window was visible. Shaking my head to get rid of the thoughts that lingered, as I continued my journey.
Upon reaching home, I quickly rushed towards my mom and hugged her as tight as a newborn clings onto his mother. "Ummi...Assalamualeikum."
"Waaleikumsalam, what has made my boy so happy today?"
"Alhamdulillah I got qualified for a job."
"Yeeey!!! We are getting a treat from you." Screamed Reemah from behind as she hugged ummi and i.
I couldn't thank Allah for the blessing he had given me, for I could finally see my happy family and rays of hope that I could provide them and my siblings with a better future.
We all prayed 2 nafls to thank Allah for everything he had so far provided us with, before I took them out to the mall for a treat.
