Sort of like being on a very long roller coaster — too long. You want off halfway through it. You need some longer chapters to help the reader identify with, or at least begin to understand, the characters that are driving the plot. Longer chapters can also help to illuminate a theme, usually through action and dialogue but perhaps through setting details. Short, action packed chapters can certainly be a bridge to a shift in the novel, such as setting or subplot or new character entrance or new theme, etc. If you want to be experimental about it, you could use short, action packed chapters to introduce what appears to be a completely different novel, only to use a short, action packed chapter to bridge back to the earlier storyline. Assuming standard draft (~250 words/page), you’re talking 6–8 page chapters. Those are short chapters. The question is whether you are writing single-scene chapters or multi-scene chapters. If you’re counting each scene as a separate chapter, those are fine. Personally, my scenes average about 4 pages, and my chapters around 12. That said, what I’m working on now has scenes that average slightly less than 3 pages, and I haven’t broken the book into chapters. I don’t usually do that until the draft is complete. Understand that those are averages. I have scenes that are less than a page and others that are 17–20 pages long, and chapters that go from 1–28 pages long. Scene and chapter size varies depending on what is needed for that particular scene and chapter. Generally, those numbers will vary quite a bit.My sister was Permanent Resident of Australia and she always motivated me to apply for PR, Being in IT sector the opportunities were huge, and Tech giants like Infosys, Honeywell, SAP consultant, TCS all had branches in Australia, I knew Infosys, can deploy me there since I was associated with them for 4 years now, but having the PR was the challenge. Since the process is lengthy and takes around an year time I was always hesitant and Lazy of applying the PR, but the Covid-19 somehow changed my perception, and moving abroad become my goal during the Work from home days. So, I started my research and took all required help from my sister but the technical aspects, documents, application submissions were too complex, finding the right ANZSCO code, complete the skill assessment by providing reference letter was too much to work amid the daily office routine. So, I turned to an Immigration Consultant, I checked and find out Alorence Immigration was an established consultant working for Australia PR for more than 10 years, and their process methods, Knowledge and experience is exceptional. I can say that because I did speak to 3-4 consultants I shortlisted. I spoke to Mohit Gupta at 7507779235 and I like his through knowledge and clarity on the process. So, I started my process with Alorence Immigration. It took 6 months to fetch a nomination under Subclass 190 i.e. Victoria State Nomination. Below is the copy for your reference. Securing the nomination was not easy, the skill assessment process with ACS Australian computer Society was challenging, the selection of ANZSCO code and then furnishing the Work reference letter is the important task to claim maximum points for work experience, I had 8.5 years of W.E and with the deeming system in place it was important that only 2 years are reduced, anything more could have resulted in less points, there Alorence checked and corrected all my Reference letter as per Skill demand of ANZSCO, related documents like pay slips, Form 16 and PF statement, Bank statement were added, CV was updated with all the technical roles respective to my Job code. In Skill assessment understanding the demand of a particular profile is crucial, In India we fulfill multiple roles and responsibilities so, sometimes choosing the Occupation code which has high demand and then presenting the right documents becomes challenging, if you fail in proving your ANZSCO code, you have to begin again So all the employment letters need to be re-drafted and signed again which is hectic. So, Alorence was completely through and confident over here which helped me successfully completed my Skill assessment with 6 + years of work getting recognized as per AQF and Skill set date of Australia. Further, the assistance was also provided in terms of IELTS exam support, training and study material was of great help, practice before the exam is important and rest all is Basic English learnt in in Primary and High school, but the value of it is 20 points, so planning the timing of exam is crucial. Afterwards, we filled the EOI for all 3 subclasses, My application was even submitted to Subclass 491, it’s a regional nomination which gives you permission to work in a particular region and later converting it into PR, but I was lucky to get nominated from Victoria, The invite email is attached above. Since we get very a few days, 14 days to be precise to fill the nomination documents to Victoria, you need to know about everything in details and should not mistake anything, wrong submission can led to rejection of your application. Since Alorence already briefed me the documents we had everything ready and we filled the nomination within 8 days, Once you file your application an approval from Victoria doesn’t take much, mine was reviewed and approved within 15 days, then It was the final submission’s to Home affairs Australia which is to be done, where you complete your medicals and Police verification and final approval provides you travel grant. Below is the copy of my Submission acknowledgement form Home affairs and copy of grant. For not been able to understand the process to successfully completing the process involves an intriguing 12 months, a lot of credit goes to my Sister for always encouraging me to look forward and try for the opportunities. Thanks to Alornece Immigration as well for being on top my application, helping me with all the queries, replying promptly, informing the needs in advance. An in person detailed guidance was provided which was super and I never had to chase them for anything, I have heard that Consultants don’t take all the application’s seriously but this was not the case with Alorence, I think their understanding of the process and its importance to an individual career is very well known to them, that’s why every single step was done flawlessly and the approval was secured in time. I will further recommend interested individuals to at least consult your application with them.Securing the nomination was not easy, the skill assessment process with ACS Australian computer Society was challenging, the selection of ANZSCO code and then furnishing the Work reference letter is the important task to claim maximum points for work experience, I had 8.5 years of W.E and with the deeming system in place it was important that only 2 years are reduced, anything more could have resulted in less points, there Alorence checked and corrected all my Reference letter as per Skill demand of ANZSCO, related documents like pay slips, Form 16 and PF statement, Bank statement were added, CV was updated with all the technical roles respective to my Job code.
