CHAPTER TEN Seeing the thunderheads building overhead as she stared into the darkening sky, Randi imagined it would be raining soon. A cool shiver of excitement raced through her at the thought of the impending storm. In a life filled with so much s****l excitement, every sense opened wide to even the tiniest stimulation. The colors of the sky and sand, the brisk breeze across her skin, the perfume of the salty waters, the sounds: yapping gulls, waves lapping and, strangely, the purr of Hector’s Jeep, making its way to the airstrip. She took a moment to watch as it whizzed past, the Jeep open to the air, Hector at the wheel. She gazed briefly, turned away, then immediately turned back, focusing on the familiar figure sitting next to Hector. She stared baffled, her solar plexus kicking in
