My heart swelled with pride as I watched my mate take control of the situation. As much as Logan and I had wanted to take control, we both had realized this was a great opportunity, however unfortunate, to let Rowan take the lead. Calling Alpha Roman out for instructions had been a strategic move on my part. If he didn’t take the bait, it allowed my Rori to pull ahead.
