While I waited for the others to come back, I reflected on my actions. I was worried enough for Rowan and Theo that I almost abandoned the pursuit for my brother. So why didn’t I? I should have been the first one to run back for them. Instead, I let my father go.
Something in my gut told me that everything was going to be okay with them. Looking back, I knew Rowan had the skills necessary. I had worked with her myself. My only concern was if her focus had held out. The fact that Theo was with her gave me hope, even though I had yet to discover what he was capable of.
