8.Her stubborn side

Next morning in college Ria went to class with Maddy. Drake and Paul were also in that class. Ria did not code about them both,but Maddy was enjoying the tension between the two kings of college. The lecturer told them about a project work which is needed to be complete within a week. So the work should be done as a group of two. And the lecturer choose the students randomly.
Maddy was paired with Stephan for which she sighed as she did not get Jayden as partner. Then next was Ria.
"Ria Roverio with Paul Alexander..."
Maddy smiled at this and Ria glared at her..
"So students ,by the end of the week I need the paper to be submitted. And you can refer the library if you want..."
So after the lecturer left ,Paul comes to Ria's seat,
"So are you free this evening... I mean we have to start the work tight..." He said while looking at Drake and his friends.
"oh really... When you started taking studies with so importance..." Maddy teased him.
But Ria intertwined,
"Okay fine,but as I am new here...I don't know much...may be I can fo a referense today and we can start by tomorrow, if you're okay with it..."
"Of course... See you later..."
Then he left.Maddy dragged Ria towards her friends.
"As she is starting her college life,I am planning to throw a party at the weekend. Exclusive party for us okay.My father is not in town..and mom has also got plans to visit granny so it will be a great opportunity...what do you say..." Maddy announced.
Ria was not a real party freak.So she tried to object it.
"really Maddy there is no need of it... and if aunty comes earlier we will be so dead..."
"Don't worry...I know what I am doing..."
then all her friends agreed to that,except Drake.He stood there as if he don't care about it.
After that conversation when everybody left for their classes ,Hannah came to Ria.
"Hello Ria..."
"Hey Hannah..."
"I heard Olivia bullied you yesterday..."
"in her dreams Hannah...it was just an argument..."
"regarding Paul right...I know you're paired with him in project work ...lucky you..."
"why it has to be lucky...and by the way the fight was about Tara.She is my friend, and I will not allow anybody to mess with her..."
Even though it was a plain common statement ,Hannah know she meant it about her too..Then she made a statement.
"Hey leave that,I am planning a date with Drake...Do you have any dress suggestions which will be best for me..."
Ria knows either she is trying to read what is in her mind about Drake or, she just wanted to spoil any interest there for Drake in Ria's mind.
"Oh really...I heard he don't date,only..." She stopped at mid and Hannah was pissed with her response.She did not expect her to be this fierce.
"Drake is mine...and I will not allow anybody to come in between us..."/She stated and left.
The rest of the day was peaceful and evening as usual Maddy was watching the match.And Ria took few reference books for her project.
When she came back, almost everybody left except Maddy,Jayden and Drake. Maddy told her that her car was break down.so Jayden will drop her after bit if shopping.And she requested Drake to drop Ria. Ria had no other options.As Drake was behaving cold to her she also wanted to reject his favor. As Maddy and Jayden left ,Drake went towards his bike. But Ria stood in her position.
After starting the bike,he looked at her.But she was standing like a stubborn kid. he was confused at her response.
" Are you coming or not." He asked
"no...not until you tell me why you're behaving cold towards me."
"Hm...Ria don't be stubborn.If I leave you here, you will be in trouble.you don't know the way back clearly. And nobody is here in college to help you.."
"Who told you that, i have other friends who can help me with a ride too...If you want me to go with you,Then you tell me,why you're cold with me..."
"okay fine you can do whatever you please"/With that he started the bike and left.
Ria did not expect him to go...She know even she mentioned Paul in the conversation for a boost,she don't have his number.And walking is not even an option as they are already late and by the distance it will take an hour to reach home. then she thought to call Drake,but she don't wanted to give up do easily.
She tried reaching Maddy but her call was not going through. Without any option left,she started walking. After ten minutes,she increased her speed as it was getting dark and the place was like walking through the forest.She was really scared...Then a car passed by...with few jocks... They slowed down and commented on her beauty also invited for a drive...She felt angry and scared then she started running and the car stopped in front of her. She was scared to hell,then she heard the bike sound and saw Drake coming towards them. As the jocks noticed him,they get into the car and left.
Ria wanted to cry and get angry and thankful to Drake in this situation.She stood still there. He came towards her.
" now, can we really go..." He asked.
"Did you follow me..." Ria asked with surprise.
"Why does it matter...Maddison trusted you with me...so I cant just leave you like that..." He told her plainly.
She hit him in his shoulder in frustration,
"Why are you so grumpy all the time..."
Her hits have no effect on him.Finally when he felt enough of it,he stopped her by taking both her hands on his and looked into her eyes.
"Get in now or else I will leave you here for real..." He threatened.
So she hop in with him and enjoyed the ride.After reaching she asked him for his phone as she couldn't find it.As he was dialing,she grabbed his phone and opened social media and accepted her request.Then gave it back go him. He was surprised by her action.
" I won't bite you in social medias...so don't you dare remove me..."she threatened and left him with surprised eyes.
