Chapter Two What does it take to brawl with the wolves?   Hani has a dangerous task at hand.     Before her was the sleeping figure of her husband, one who got little to no sleep due to the impending demand for Alpha these few days. Maddox had been a busy man and she never really realized just how much an Alpha could do for his pack. From the finances to upgrading some of their inventory that had been plummeting due to some people's neglect - her husband was fixing all of those issue by himself and actually having some good results.     Nobody really knows what was going on, but there had been a quite few raids from marked red from before. From what she had known, there were rare attacks from marked red that are in packs. The very idea that these supposed “rogues” who value nothing was trying to build their own do raise some worries for some Alpha.     She initially did not know why that mattered as she could kill these type of wolves quite easily.     Marked Red Rogues are indeed dangerous in a small scale but if one would put them all together and tie them in a way that all of their impulsiveness and poison would collaborate, everyone was looking at an impending doom.     Maddox, being the Alpha who does goes above everyone when it comes to strength, has a lot on his plate. A lot of packs need his assistance from all over the region and he couldn’t simply just send warriors and let his own pack defeated.     Not only does he have to worry about his pack and the worries that are coming from almost every Alpha — but also, he has to face the breakdown that his Beta and Luna were coming from.     Maddox is very able man.     Never did he look so defeated from others and he never really wavered his emotions. No matter what situation is thrown over him, he does not show any vulnerability. The man always prevail no matter the cost.     She remembered not seeing him in any distress.     Even when she wanted to reject him without even knowing that she was doing that — he never looks so vulnerable. He knew what he would happen and he was confident that he could make her fall for him again.     Soft squeal escaped her lips when she was suddenly pulled towards him, not being aware that he had been awake a couple minutes of her ogling. His eyes softly opened, showing her the beautiful eyes that always managed to capture her in awe.     “Good morning, sweetheart.” He uttered with the most dangerous voice there is.     A smile slipped her lips. “Good morning, my handsome and beloved Alpha.”     “Handsome and beloved Alpha?” He asked, c*****g a brow at her direction and upon seeing a smile that he does not approve of, the man could only shook his head. “You wanted to have something you can not be allowed to have, don’t you?”     Hani chuckled, already knowing that she was caught before she could even start her task at hand. It was not like she was surprised at this point. Maddox has fully understood her behavior and would always understand why she is acting in the way that she was. That was the very reason why they rarely have fights, as Maddox always put out and understanding side of him.     “I can never win with you.” Hani sighed.     “What is it? You might have at least tell me now.” Maddox grumbled as he dived into her neck, wanting to have some of her warmth before the day continued, “I might gave it a go if it is understandable — even if I doubt that it is but you using that term to me.”     Her hands rose to his hair, carefully playing with it as she know that doing something like this would always make him less focused on what she was saying. She needed him to be distracted in order to have something she should not have.      "That is not working when I know that you are up to something, Hani Blaze." Maddox warned.      She pouted her lips, her hands leaving his head as she sighed. “Fine. I wanted to have some training with your men.”     “No.” he replied quite easily as his hands grew tight in her waist.     She sighed, crossing her arms below her chest as she wanted to fight for this one. There is no f*****g way that she would let this slip, no matter what happens. “How can I know that I am getting good at training that you two have been giving me, then?”     “Train with me or Mason. We hold the best competition for you to try whatever you wanted to try. Having to brawl with my men is not an option that you can have, wife.” He replied.     “I basically could not fight you.”     Maddox grinned, knowing her words fully well. “Then why do you oppose to fight with my men? If you wanted to see if you are getting good — then you should better practice with those people who knows if you are improving and not some ploy to boost your confidence.”     “I am not fighting any Alpha or someone in the palace.”     He does understand her worries in this scenario. To Hani’s views, she needed to hand the Alpha to her husband — thus she is understandably going to fight those who are beneath them. But she was never in between a brawl between packs — never did they let the Luna idle by. When she is out in the field and killing everyone, hardly anybody else would be able to fight his warriors.     They will all target her.     For a dead Luna would mean that the pack is good as dead.     Carefully escaping from her neck, he faced his wife with a serious expression printed in his face. Every little thing that he taught her in the field would always connote her safety. Despite him being dead, it will make sure that she will survive no matter what the situation is.     “If we are in a fight with a pack, you will hardly fight any warriors from there.”     Her brows rose. “What do you mean? From before, you have said that—”     “Didn’t I tell you before just how important the Luna is to a pack?” he asked, holding her cheeks softly as if she would disappear when he utter the words. Maddox knew that this topic is dangerous but he needed her to be aware of it. “If any of the opposing wolves see you in any battle, they will do anything they would to kill you. Nobody will focus on my soldiers, not even a single inch would want to fight them. They will hunt you and only you. No question asked there.”     “To stop you?” She questioned.     “To kill me.” He corrected. "If you are dead, do not think for a moment that I will be alive. I can wipe them all down, but I am as good as dead by that point."      “But—”     He frowned. “You have seen how my Beta reacted to your friend, and she is still alive. As an Alpha, my reactions would be a lot worse than him. If you found yourself in the same situation as your friend, I doubt everything is as sane as it is right now when you wake up.”     Even to his words, Hani knew that he was basically begging her to not do anything impulsive that could harm her well being. She knew that everybody have been adjusting to her and her needs through all the time that she had been Luna. Everyone was being kind and respectful to her because she is the most important person in this pack.     She holds the sanity of their Alpha, and in turn - the future of the pack.     “Then what should I do whenever there is an attack?” she questioned, eyes looking at him for nothing but answers.     He smiled, leaning in to kiss her lips with nothing but need. Hani replied to his demand, moving her lips in the same pace as he was giving her. She knew that Maddox was conflicted into having her participate in any brawl and despite his usual promise to her; the safety of his mate would always come in hand.     So she complied with the distraction he wanted, responding to his need of affection.     Both of them were aware that this talk was nowhere near over and sooner or later, one of them would have to agree with the facts that they will soon settle. For now, Maddox had fixed his position and held both of wrists above her head.     “It is just six in the morning, Alpha.” Hani could not help but tease.     He nodded his head, appreciating his view. “That is why I needed my breakfast, my Luna.” . . Mason frowned at the woman before him.     His hand still lingered in the air while holding a cup near his mouth. The man wanted nothing but a bright and early morning to have some peace but it seems like this little Luna was not aware of that plan of his. Hani was looking at him expectantly, as if he has the say to the matter when he knew better that he would have been sacrificed to the demons if Mason ever did something remotely close to what she was insinuating.     Maddox might be someone who was approved to him resting in the pack despite him not being properly sanctioned in the place but there would be a splatter of his blood from the second that he had jumped to the trap that Hani was laying for him.     “And you are telling me that Alpha Maddox agreed to this?” Mason asked, clearly forgetting about his dose of coffee as he prompts it down.     “Yes,” she replied, blinking once.     Lie.     Mason sighed to an obvious sign of her lying.     He already knows that she was lying with a simple mannerism. While Mason can not claim that he had found this, he only got the tip from Maddox in order to not get dragged by her some cynical plan. It also was not like that he needed another second for him to clarify the situation. Even if it was in a possibility, and that very slim, that Maddox would agree in this scenario, Mason was already fully aware that he would not condone this — especially knowing the possessiveness of the man.      While Hani does know that the warriors brawl every week, she does not know how it goes. For her to suggest that Maddox had agreed in letting her be a part of that would be impossible.     However, he let her game going in order for her to practically let herself understand her lies was slipping through every word from her mouth. “He let you agree to brawl with his men?”     “Yes.” She nodded again, followed by a single blink.     “With them showing you their natural strength?” He asked, looking as if he was clarifying something when in reality, he wanted her to be caught in her own words. Hani have been losing her sense of being sly whenever she would plan something that connotes her from lying to those who clearly knew her.      “Yes.” Hani muttered, continuously showing signs of lying.     “And you are to abide in the same rules as them?” Mason added, tilting his head to the side upon adding the information she needed. “Not even some changes in the rules for their Luna?”     “Yes,” She agreed.     He was not sure why she wanted to brawl with another wolf in the pack. While the pack does give their best in strength in any given situation, they are lacking in defense — it was what he, and the other two, was contributing the pack. Not all wolves — or people — needed to be strong in order to be competent. All they ever need is to be smart in the battlefield. Mason had seen plenty of weak men grow victorious in petty fights because they used their wits.     While it is in an advantage that a wolf is strong, there are times where strength does really varies much to whom you are against with and he knew that Maddox knew about this. It was the very reason why the man never really put his guard down.     His entire obsession with patrols, the constant movements and changes to the security for the pack. Everything was calculated and adheres in the right places and time. Almost every part of defense is changing by the hour and it is probably because Maddox knew that defense is their most vulnerable state. Oddly enough, his strategies do works, as their pack was the most secure place with such security.     Mason sighed. “You’re not really fooling anyone here, kid. I am not someone who blindly listens to your rules and not knowing they are nothing but trouble.”     “Come on, Mason!” she grumbled, taking a seat into one of the chair as she looked at him, the man seemingly look like a father rather than a brother. “I wanted to fight another wolf who does not give me easy pass!”     He frowned, seeing an error to her words. “We do not give you an easy pass. You are even reprimanding me a couple of weeks ago for being too harsh on training.”     “Barely.” She rolled her eyes.     “You can brawl with another if you can escape any of my paint.” a smile slipped in her lips, as if finding some quick advantage. However, Mason was not quite done. Before she could find any loophole, he added another, “and be able to block Maddox’s offense.”     “f**k,” she grumbled.     She rather just quit here and there.     While Maddox was good to her in any place — the man was different in the battlefield. He was the only one who was training her like she was another warrior. Mason has his tough side but he does grow soft whenever he would train her. Nothing of her defense could work on all the tricks that the man have on his sleeves.     She fully understand why Maddox would not brawl from her when she had reached the pack on the first day. Brawling with the man can result her to be in the same position as Nvae by this point.      Maddox, on the other hand, rarely gave her pass when they are training.     The man is f*****g strict as any of her instructor in the organization.     In the training field, the man was good at seeing her nothing as a warrior. She wondered why that bothered her for a moment — okay, it might have been a week or so but she does realized it soon enough. She was quick to realize that something inside her was moping because he was not showing her affection.     Then again, she bites that side off and trampled all over it.     Her need to always mate with the man was almost every minute that she could see him. During their first few months together, everyone kept telling her that it’s the side effect of being newly mated but it’s been a few months now and she still does not lose the same interest in mating as she did the first time.     Werewolf pull is just f*****g powerful — even for her.     Mason chuckled upon seeing the displease emotion in her face. “Seems like he is not pulling any favors for you.”     “I am just mostly irritated if he trains me like others, that is not fair. My emotions are not stable whenever he trains me,” Hani complained.     She was still new with the whole concept of mates that she sometimes get irritated into being someone that wanted to be someone who was special in her husband’s eyes. Hani was turning into someone whom she said she would not be and it does bother her for a very long time now. A part of her thinks that she is losing herself and being only someone who wanted to be dependent of him.     She did not want that.     Hani wanted to protect everyone to the best of her ability.     She wanted to be a Luna who is effective in battle as she was in making sure that people was safe. There was a part of her that needed to know that if Maddox or anyone else was left behind, she could easily defend them without people double guessing her abilities.     While everyone kept on telling her that her new reactions towards her husband will pass, sadly — it never did.     For she realized that as soon as she had met Maddox and realized the power he has over her, there was something inside of her that wanted to be someone who was treated like she can be vulnerable too. For years of her life, she had always been the tough woman who can protect anyone she wanted to. That’s why it was no new issue when she realized that it’s her solely job as being a Luna.     Now that she has someone like Maddox, it felt different.     The man could do wonders on her emotion. He could easily lift her back up and back down whenever he could. Hani never wanted to be some damsel in distress, but she does have her weakness but it was always her mind that had forced her to be a tough b***h that she was.     “Can I just watch them in training, then?” Hani sighed, clearly in defeat and no other choice but to sit idly in the training room and grab some tactics while she was at it. “I wanted to learn news ways to block offense and do some defense.”     Mason smiled at her words, now glad that she was forming a compromise. “As long as you just sit in a damn chair and not propose yourself to fight any warrior inside that arena, I would agree.”     “Really?” Her eyes shinned.     “You have to swear that you would do no funny business.” He sighed, drinking his coffee as he looked at her straight in the eyes, “I swear, kid. Your mate will kill me if you brawl with any of his men. Having them dressed enough would be hard.”     Hani made a face to his words, clearly confused. “Dressed enough?”     “Warriors brawl with little to no clothes on so they would not ruin clothes whenever they needed to shift. You know that they ruin their clothes when their shift, so in order to have less cost in the clothing of the warriors, it was implemented. It is one of the given rules.” Mason grinned as he sees the surprise written all over her face. “So I already knew that the Big Bad Alpha would never let you brawl with them in the same rules.”     With furrowed eyebrow she asked. “But they would be clothed now that I am watching them brawl?”     “Of course they are.” He nodded. "Nobody wants to be hunted and killed by Maddox."      “Then—”     “But you are still not f*****g brawling with them, Hani.” He finalized.     “f**k. You such." Hani cursed.     Mason chuckled as the woman rushed to her room and changed in her sport clothes. While she does not need to brawl with another, she will need to train a few hours after the brawl is over and done. Despite her knowledge in the field, Maddox was the one who suggested the idea to Mason, only he said it in the mind link as he was listening through their conversation.     Mason did not understand why that was necessary but it was one of the Alpha's request and the man hardly made any request to Mason such as this. Maddox found it useful for his Luna to watch the brawl.       Are you sure about this? Mason asked in the link, unsure if this was a good idea.     She will be fine. I am sure despite my need to protect her; everyone knows that there is an impulsive side of her whenever someone in this pack is in trouble. She needed to learn some moves.      Maddox was completely right at his words. Even Mason does have his worries, given the history of her impulsiveness. Whenever someone is in a grave danger, Hani would always do the best in her ability to save them. She could offer her life for others, so they really needed to figure out how that could be tamed down or she will be in grave danger when some time comes.      She really might need some help for her impulsiveness to work.     Even if everyone wished she would not choose to do something that would end her life, it was always safe to equip some tips for their hunter of a Luna. Hani needed it anyway.      The whole trip in the training pad seemed very amusing for Hani. The woman was nothing but jumping around like a child, feeling like this was the first time that she was venturing through something that will resemble a one on one fight just like as they would on the organization.      Only this fight, she could see the warriors shift into their wolves and fight in that form.     She had never really ventured in this side of the pack as it was filled with warriors who needed no distraction from their Luna. Everything in the place was modern while they have some very wonderful place. The training in their organization are mainly in the hands of the computer and hardly nobody ever put anything physical rather than building muscles in the gym.     This place, however, was complete mind trip.     “There is Steven and that is his playground in this pack.” Mason informed.     Her eyes scanned to where he was pointing and was surprised to see a stern face printed in one of their bubbliest member. She never remembered seeing him with that face, even when he is facing some marked red. Only she had realized that all of that is nothing but playing games to their skills. The man was training some men in what seemed like an obstacle course. His eyes were almost all around as his hands were writing something in his pad.     “I’m guessing he is training the wolves with speed?” Hani asked.     It was not hard to remember that Steven has always been someone who was quick in finishing trainings. Whenever there would be something that needed him to fix some problems or what not, he would have no hardships in making sure that it's done.     Steven, despite what he looks like, was really good at aiming and shooting at people. He was the one who had shown Nvae on the proper ways and some tricks for her to fire her bullets. While Hani did attend some classes that he had conducted, she never had any patience when it comes to fighting in a distance. If you have her a gun that was loaded with bullets, she would always use it as a weapon to actually burn some of the wolf's skin and probably shot them even in such a small range.     She is useless in using ranged weapons.     In any given situation given to her, she always needed to kick some wolf's ass.      He nodded. “Steven is good with speed as he was with marksmanship. When you know your bullets, you know how to dodge them.”     “And Alexis?”     “Same as I do. He lets me train the warriors in one in one combat.”     Mason opened the door to show that Alexis was mainly focused on training the men on hand. Since he was also good with defense, he had the basics in what it takes in training the men one on one. Mason and Alexis basically share the common jobs, but since their training does cut a lot of energy from them, they mostly change by the hours.     “I never knew you hold the same power as Alexis.” Hani blurted out.     “I do f*****g not. Please do not f*****g push the man to challenge me in a brawl again. He suck at having some people define our strengths as he always have to think that he is above me.” Alexis was quick to meddle as he jumped out of the pad. “I am mostly on defense and strength. Mason has it all. Strength. Defense. Offense. Speed. Whatever the f**k it was that wolves needed.” He grumbled, making a face, which uttered a small laugh from Hani. “He is basically a monster in disguise by this point.”     Mason cross his hand below his chest. “It is what is expected of me.”     “Of course it does. You are an asshole.” Alexis replied too quickly.     He only frowned before rolling the men in the formation. On his hand was a folder, which seemed to have a list of names of the warriors, connoting their progress through the months of training and she does seem pleased in seeing all their numbers grew.     “The training seems to be going pretty good with this rising report.” She complimented.     Hani jumped as soon as their synchronized appreciation was nothing but loud — and the fact that she was not expecting that at all. Everyone offered her a meek smile, which she only replied with a nod.     And by that, she had continued on her day watching the warriors brawl with each other. She could see that on all their brawls, Mason wanted them to focus on defense. It seemed like something strange coming from a man who had always shared his fair share of offense but when they had shifted into their wolves and showed their offense, she fully understands his decision.     For the pack does not lack in offense — what they have is basic to little knowledge in defense. Hani knew that she was on the same page. She had always been a girl who was impulsive to her decision and was quick to show her dominance in the field. In every situation, she offered nothing but offense.     Nvae was the one who controlled people who could do defense for her.     Damn.     How she missed that little squirt.     Back to where the obstacle course was, Steven frowned.     Before his computer was an email from a receiver with an IP that he has always been familiar with. It has a stamp from the Queen of the Wolves and holds a very letter inside it. He did not know if he should open it, but something inside of him was scared to know what was inside. From the very time that they were labeled as nothing but traitor in the palace, they had turned their back on them.     The Queen, however, did not double think to save them the losing grace when she woke up from her coma. She had saved them and labeled them as hero, instead. For years, she wanted them back but due to their need to wipe out every marked red there ever was - they had rejected.         People from the palace continued to hire them, nevertheless.      However, they were always quick to say no.     All the letters has always been from some messenger or people from the palace. This was the first time that Steven has received a letter from the Queen, herself. He knew that everybody would be on board on declining her offer for the three of them to come back.     But he was fearful.     Something inside of him was not sure on what the letter entails.     If this was something from the Queen, then she must have some valid points to why they needed to come back. While their very reason to stay has always been because of her deceased child, the three found no other reason for them to continue living in the palace.     Everyone knows that the Queen has enough guard as it is.     They were not needed.     So… what is this?     Not wanting to overthink things, he had sent a message to the two. He wanted Mason to assess the letter before he could, as he was the leader of the three. Mason is the one who could do the decisions for them. While it has always been that way, the two always seek his advice most of the time.     Mason was their foundation.     Read it for us, Steven. Mason answered in the link.     They had passed link for what seemed like minutes, with him neglecting the job but alas — as what he had said, Mason holds the power for the three of them. With having nothing but other choice to do what he was told, he clicked the message open. —— My Royal Warriors,             I wanted you three to be the first to know about my pregnancy. My worries deepen as my womb will grow and I would have to find warriors who would need to watch over my child. While I know that the three of you are leading a good life now, it would be best to know if you would want to watch over my children.             My mind would be at peace knowing that my child will be safe at your hands. I have never been someone who had written you notes, asking for any of you to come back to the world that haunted your mind.             Please let me know if you three are always interested.             I wanted to know.             Especially since you three are on the top list of my favorable and trusted warriors. Yours Sincerely, Queen Sophia. ——     Steven has done it his job to read the letter in the link. It does make him understand why the two had stilled in their jobs. While Steven had fully moved on with the situation, the two had never been in the same both. Mason and Alexis had blamed themselves for the death of the two Princesses.     It was the reason why they thought they were getting punished for seeing Nvae and Hani through all their days in the organization.     Both were equally traumatized with what happened and it showed. To have the Queen tell them that she was pregnant and would be able to give birth to another child that they needed to protect, it seemed like a very problematic scenario.     Mason and Alexis has soft spot for children.     For now, Steven was worried.     What if the two would have to agree with the letter? Leaving Nvae and Hani when they are in their lowest would be worst. He knew that the two would be shifted into two decisions—most especially, Mason.     It does not have a royal seal. Steven was quick to inform them in the link.     This only means that the Queen was not ordering them to come by the royal command—they have a choice if they wanted to come back to the palace and guard the unborn child. Mason has to be under pressure, as Steven knew that he has needs to come back when it comes it her child.     Even if Mason has swore to himself that he would never return, it seemed like there will always be a part of him that wanted to make sure that his job would not face in the same situation.     The link was quiet, and Steven was nothing but worried.     Are they really leaving Hani? Nvae? . . “Do you have news about her?”     Beta Jax was nothing but anxious, wanting nothing else but to know about what his sources have gathered. He was actually feeling hopeful when he had found enough evidence that he knew would be something that could help his mate. It took him some days but he has heard about a Mage who can heal people, someone who is the protector of nature. To his obsession in that Mage, he had learned that she was the one who had always protected the werewolves. There were tons of books about her and the sightings about this woman whom everyone seemed to call as Goddess.     She had been the one who gave wolves life, counting them as werewolves.     Then again, it would be a bargain to ask someone who is the protector of wolves to save someone who had been killing her people. However, he had no other chance at of this point. Even then, he could be sure to add that this woman was his mate. If that was the case, she was sure to give her back his safety.     If not, he could offer his life for her.     He needed to her to live in any given situation. It was getting to the point where he was crazy enough to ready fifty books about this Mage and just to know the basics of where she could be. His mate was close to disappearing before his sight and he could never allow that to happen.     He wanted to see her eyes, wanting to hear her voice.     Jax wanted nothing more than to have his little mate back to his arms.     “I have news about her as you had guessed.” the man had answered with a sigh.     A frown settled on his lips, the ounce of hope that he had was slowly subsiding just by the sound that the man had made on the other side of the phone. “What seemed to be the matter? You do not think she will heal my mate? I could always trade my life if that’s the case.”     “No, it is not that. The woman would give everything that could make a wolf happy."      He nodded. "That's good then."     A sigh escaped from the man. "Jax, it seemed you missed a few books. The Mage of Nature had died millenniums ago, maybe even longer than that. She was killed by her own sisters to save her from people who are trying to ruin her and taint her kindness with cruelty or violence.”     “f**k,” He uttered.     Due to his conflicting schedules, he really did missed some books about her relationship with her sister — he did not know that they mattered as he was only interested with the Mage who could heal her mate.     Just when he was slowly gathering hope, it was crushed before he could even triumph over it. He did not want to lose hope in his mate. He knew that she will find ways to live again. From what he gathered, this little mate of his knew the value of life and would not trade that for the world.     So… why was she fighting so slow for her life?     Anyone could do nothing but wonder.     Looking at the female before him, his heart was nothing but cracking. His wolf has been very quiet and wanting nothing but to spend more time with her like he was treasuring more time with the woman. Jax was fearing that the wolf was aware of his passing.      She looked so frail and she barely has any nutrition in her body. It would take months for her to get back to her healthy shape. Her mate had been nothing but jumping up in down in her lifeline, and for someone who was holding onto her for his life... that is not a good thing.     While she was showing good symptoms on most days, there were dark days where it would circle back into nothing but horrors. Whenever she would show good signs, it would take a couple weeks before it got worse.     Every single time that it slipped, everything was getting worse.     To know that she was close to dying is not a good a sign for him.     Jax knew that it wouldn’t take long before she really dies if he could not found enough cures. Looking at her soft face, he could do nothing but muffle the cry that he wanted to release. His wolf was slowly losing its strength, and it was not good for everyone in the pack.     “My little mate.” he whispered, holding her close. “Please, wake up. Your friends are living peacefully here and the Luna was adhering to her roles. Please, hang on tight and give us your presence back. Please.”     Jax found solace that she would have spikes in her heart rate whenever he touched her. It was an indication that her body was still alive and reacting to the pull. To know that she was still alive has always been his motivation.     He will not stop.     No matter what happens—she needed to live and be happy while being alive.     “I’ll find another cure, another person.” He promised. “I will look all over the world, so you need to hang in there and not die. Please.”     Jax has always been a proud man and never really begged for anyone. However, his mate has always been an exception. To have him kneel before her and bow his head, only she had the power to make him the man that he was now. No matter the situation thrown, nothing will change.     His mate holds his power.     Just like everyone else, his vulnerability holds in the life of his mate. He was not sure how he would live life without her. When he only got her in his grasp, she was taken in such a short time. There are stories of horror of what a wolf goes through whenever a mate dies and he always fear that possibility.     He was never afraid of being crazed or dead.     Jax was scared of losing the only person who mattered most in his life.     The beeping of the machine continued to make music in the room, with a wolf kneeling on the floor and begging every God there is in the world, to please save his mate. Jax was ready to put his life on the line… just to save hers.     Please, he screamed in his mind as his tears fall from his eyes, save my mate.
