RILEY Her words hit me like a ton of bricks as she smiles at me. “You’re going to be a mommy.” My stomach drops, and I feel nauseous. The pie I ate not long ago threatens to come back up. “You’re lying.” She holds out a pregnancy test to me. Grabbing it, I stare in disbelief at the blue cross. I feel faint. I can’t be pregnant; we’ve only just started dating, and we haven’t even talked about kids yet. Tears fill my eyes as I look at her. “What do I do?” She sits down next to me, rubbing my back. “You tell Alec.” I shake my head. “I can’t, not yet. Everything is so messed up at the moment.” “All the more reason to tell." “I won’t, not yet. Please don’t tell anyone.” She stares at me for a long time before pulling me into a hug. “I won't tell anyone. We'll pretend as if I don’t know
