Joy opened the messages and started reading them “Oh this guy is remarkably interesting and funny” she thought and laughed out loud as she replied to every one of the messages, went through his profile, and later fell asleep under his messages. The next morning Joy woke up to a call on her f*******: messenger “Hello” she said “Hey pretty, I have been trying to get your attention for a long time now, it's nice to finally talk to you, by the way, I am Sammy” said the caller on the other end of the phone. “Hey Sammy, I am Joy, and nice to talk to you too, but I’m just waking up, can we talk later?” answered Joy as she ended the call. Immediately she dropped the call her phone beeped, she smiled as she read the message as it was a message from Sammy I WILL CALL YOU BACK PRETTY the message read. Joy climbed down from her bed, knelt and prayed as she normally did, read her Bible, packed her room, went outside her room to greet her parents, had morning devotions with them, prepared for the day, and left for lectures.

Gamela was in front of their college waiting for Joy, Joy arrived and they walked to class together as they always did. Gamela noticed Joy was rather happy after what happened yesterday, she asked “Baby Girl, what’s going on, I can feel you are excited” Joy laughed and said “I have a gist for you” “Tell me!” Gamela said in excitement, “I met someone new, and I might like him” Joy replied blushing. “Wow! So fast? Tell me everything!” Said Gamela as she sat down wanting to get the full gist, “Sorry to disappoint you I do not have a lot of information about him, so far all I know is his name is Sammy and he's funny. He has been trying to reach me on f*******: for a long time now, I only noticed him yesterday after you left but I’ll make sure to give you updates as we go baby girl.” Joy replied with a large smile “l would be waiting because I love to see this, my friend is happy” said Gamela excitingly. Lectures started and the two friends paid attention, they were the top two students in the class, after lectures had ended, it was lunch break. Joy decided to go get food for herself, and her friend, leaving her things behind so Gamela stayed back to watch them. Immediately Joy left her phone began to ring, Gamela shunned but it kept ringing “It must be an important call since the person is calling consistently, I'll just pick up the call and tell Joy the details later.” Gamela thought as she picked up Joy’s phone and accepted the call “Hello pretty” the caller on the other end said immediately Gamela picked up the call, “Who is this, please? My friend is not around, I only picked up the call because you were so consistent in calling” Gamela said “Oh Sorry, I am Sammy, I wanted to speak to your friend Joy but I’ll call later please remember to tell her I called.” Sammy said as he dropped the call “Oh wow, is this the Sammy Joy told me about? If that's him, from the way he speaks I know he would make a good man for Joy” Gamela thought to herself with a large smile and she put Joy’s phone back. Joy noticed something had happened from a distance, she noticed her friend was deep in thought and smiling “What is happening with this girl” she thought as we walked to Gamela. “Gamela! Gamela!” Joy called out as she tapped Gamela’s shoulder slightly “Yes! Yes!, oh you are back?” Gamela said in shock. “What is wrong? You seem distracted.” Joy asked “I am fine, I answered your call, it was Sammy he said he would call later and I was thinking he would make a good match for you judging from his voice.” Gamela replied “Oh wow! My friend is already in support, but let’s not be in a hurry, let’s see how it goes” Joy answered as she giggled. The two friends ate their lunch, prepared for the next lecture, took it, and walked outside together where Joy took a taxi home whilst Gamela waited for her driver to come pick her up. Joy went home, unpacked her bag, put everything back where they should be, washed, ate, slept, woke up, did her assignments, studied, and late at night before going to bed she went online. The moment she placed her data on, a call came in and it was from Sammy, she picked up, laid down, placed the phone on the loudspeaker, and placed it on her bed. They got to know themselves, asked questions, answered questions, they talked all night, they didn’t even want to end the call but had to because the both of them had to go back to their normal daily routine. Joy was so happy, she felt she was falling for this guy, even though he had told her during the call that he lived abroad but he also said how in love with her he was, so all she held onto was that he was in love with her, even though she had her doubts.

Joy went to college and told Gamela all she and Sammy spoke about “Wow! This is a lot, but I love it.” Said Gamela after listening to her friend. “Joy! Joy! There's a package for you” the college janitor screamed from a far distance with so much excitement “What is it? And from who?” Joy replied in shock “Let's go check it out” said Gamela.

Joy and Gamela ran behind the Janitor as he led them to where the package was, they stopped in front of a car “Where is the package?” Joy asked, “Here is it” replied the janitor with a large smile as he pointed to a brand new car with a ribbon on it in front of them. “Wait I don't understand, what is this joke? Who is the car for?” Joy asked, the janitor then handed a small gift box to Joy, she opened it, and was shocked when she saw a car key inside. Gamela ran to the car, took the note placed on it, read it, and screamed “My friend is now a car owner!” Joy couldn’t understand what was going on, Gamela ran to her with the note which read DEAREST JOY THIS IS A SMALL TOKEN OF MY LOVE FOR YOU, A FINE GIRL LIKE YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE TAXI WITH LOVE FROM SAMMY. Joy screamed as she ran to the car “ I can’t believe it, this is mine?” She said, Joy took her phone and called Sammy “Sammy, you didn’t have to” she said immediately Sammy picked up the call “Joy, I'll do more than this for you just to show you how much I love you. Enjoy! We will talk later” Sammy replied. Joy hung up the call, ran to her friend, hugged her, and held her hand “Let’s go for a ride” Joy said to Gamela “Yes! Yes! Yes! Let’s go!” Gamela replied as they both rushed into the car. “Not too fast, there’s something for you too, Gamela,” the janitor said “Wow! So sweet of Sammy, he remembered?” said Joy “Remember what?” asked Gamela “Janitor where is it? Let's see” Joy said in excitement “Here you go” replied the Janitor as he handed a gift bag over to Gamela. Gamela took it, opened it, and started screaming “It's the new Apple iPad, I have always wanted one since it was released.” Gamela saw a small note inside and read it aloud HEY GAMELA YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED BECAUSE WE HAVE ONLY SPOKEN ONCE BY MISTAKE BUT THIS IS A SMALL TOKEN OF APPRECIATION FOR ALL YOU ARE AND DO FOR JOY. FROM SAMMY. PS SHE TOLD ME ALL ABOUT YOU AND SHE LOVES YOU SO MUCH the note read. “Thank you very much Babygirl” Gamela screamed as she hugged Joy, then they both drove off. After driving around Joy dropped Gamela off and went home, she was very tired so she fell on her bed and slept off. The next morning Joy heard noises and banging on her room door “Joy! Joy!” her mother kept calling as she was knocking, Joy ignored the knocking “I must be very exhausted from yesterday, to be having such a dream” she thought the herself and continued her sleep but her mother did not stop banging on her door “Yes! Yes!” Who is it?” Joy answered “It’s your mother, come outside I and your father want to have a conversation with you” replied Rev Mrs Koroma “Okay ma, give me a second” Joy replied “Oh no, I forgot to tell them about the car last night, I was very tired, they must be confused and furious. Let me go and explain to them because that’s the only reason they have woken me up.” Joy thought to herself as she walked outside her room to meet her parents. Immediately she went to them and sat down they started ranting “What is the meaning of this Joy? Who has that car outside? What have you done again? Do you want to stain our reputations? What in God’s name is wrong with you?” Rev and Rev Mrs Koroma ranted.”Please calm down, I will explain” Joy said with a big smile “Oh so you think this is a Joke? That's a brand new car for God's sake, Whose car it is? And where did you get it from?” Her parents said in a rage “Yes it is a brand-new car and it is mine” Joy replied “What? Yours? How?” Her parents asked, “Yes mine, a billionaire I met online is in love with me and this is his first gift to me, it came as a surprise in college, and I was shocked too.” Joy replied “Joy! Joy! Please Come outside quickly!” their house help screamed, while Joy was explaining to her parents and she was rather too glad “What’s happening outside” Joy’s parents asked as they ran behind Joy to see what was happening. “Jesus! What is happening here?” Rev Mrs. Koroma shouted while her husband was just beaming at the sight of what was happening.
