Angela stepped out of the building, eyes red like she had been smoking weed. She couldn’t believe Tristan had fired her. It was like she was in some sort of bad dream. Suddenly, flashbacks of every time Tristan told her he loved her flooded her brain. “I’ll always protect you… I love you so much and I wanna protect you always… I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you…” She wanted to scream from the frustration of it.
