Back in the military base, the aliens were definitely worried that some human beings possessed some extraordinary powers especially the one who could teleport like themselves. They (the aliens) knew if they were not careful, they would be eventually kicked out of the base like they had kicked out the original occupants. They started being cautious of some dangerous human beings when they received a transmission from the base that a detachment of aliens were being attacked. A good number of them teleported to the scene when the fighting had quiet down a little bit. They thought their comrades had eliminate the threat but on entering the building, they saw their comrades lying dead on the floor. Some had been blown into pieces, some were unrecognisable while others just lay simply dead.
