George pov
All the rest of the day and the night yesterday I couldn’t stop thinking Amber. My God her smile, her beautiful chocolate eyes, and her wavy blonde hair. Her smell, don’t let me start about her smell. A warm floral scent of jasmine, freesia, and rose, totally spring. The way she is walking, f**k is the first woman that makes me hard even with a glare, only thinking of her.
Today I can’t focus on work, I’m thinking about what she doing right now. Did she think of me as I did? I try to do as much paperwork as I can because my mind is only on her.
“George!!” My brother yells. I look at him
“Where you are lost? I’m calling a few minutes now” Henry says
“I was thinking something. What do you need?”
“Something or someone? You have a stupid smile on your face” he says teasingly
“Tell me what you want. I don’t have time for your teasing “
“You thinking Amber don’t you?” From the night I saw her at the hospital where Grace worked he managed to see my crush on Amber.
“You can’t imagine how happy I was yesterday that I talked to her, I had her next to me. How I felt when I touched her” I say and I sigh passing her hands in my hair.
“You touched her? How you touched her?” He asks and I smile. The moment my fingers touch accidentally her fingers sparkle and run while my body. With one small touch, I lost the world. How I will feel when I touch her more, kiss her, or when I hope to make her mine
“Don’t say it like that. Accidentally touch her hand” I say and he sits down
“What did you two do yesterday? You didn’t come to work at all”
“After the meeting with Aaron, I take her for coffee and then lunch. A little tour and then back to Kayla’s apartment”
“ I never have seen you like that”
“It’s different with Amber”
“How?” He asks
“I don’t know how. It feels different. I feel different. I want to hold her, to pass the time with her. Make her forget everything she has been through. Make her laugh even if the last thing I will do. I don’t know how to describe it”
“You sound like Grace when she talks about Steven”
“I wish I had that one day. And I want to have it with Amber. From the night I saw her for the first time you know I can’t take her out of my mind. You know that”
“I know. You haven’t stopped talking about her” he says laughing. That’s true, day and night I always talked about her, how she is. For two weeks I called every day to Grace if she had good news about Amber coming here and when she called me that she was coming and found a job at Aaron's hospital I jumped with joy. ‘Is my chance’ I say to myself and I take care of everything for her. And now she is here, I will not lose my chance. I will give her as much time as she needs but she will be mine. I will make her happy, she will smile and laugh again from happiness.
“She will need time but I will give it to her,” I say with a smile
“If I find the woman that will make me feel different I will not lose time. I’m forty years old, I'm done waiting”
“I’m sure is somewhere out there. She will come at the right time.”
“I hope so. OK, I’m going to the meeting with Patrick. He is back and he wants to talk about how we go from now on. Do you want to come?”
“Sure. I need little air” I say and I stand up. We drove to Patrick's office and after our talk about business and the congratulations about his wedding in Hawaii, I returned to the office to finish my paperwork. I least I tried Amber was keeping coming up in my mind but I managed to finish. I text her when I get home, she says that she finished today fixing her stuff. We texted back and forth for a while about movie things the most and about our date to watch Lord of the Rings. I laugh shaking my head when she says she will make me an expert.

One month passed quickly, and the business with Henry settled into our hands from our father. He keeps staying with our mother in their mansion and he has a shareholder position in the company but the last decisions I and Henry make them. We asked Grace to have a position but she says that she doesn’t know anything about our work and she trusts us to make decisions for her. We couldn’t take her out of her share, it wasn’t right. She is part of the business but Henry and I make decisions.
Last month I and Amber met each other for movies and dinner at her apartment. I’m so close every time to ask her out but I hold it. I don’t want her to feel pressured and close herself to me.
She has already trusted me and opened up to me about her childhood and her parents. Her time with her ex-boyfriend she hasn’t mentioned at all. She is hurt about all that so I don’t want to remind her and tell me if she is not ready.
She must be at her break lunch now. I should call her I already miss her voice. She answers at the third ring
“Hey George”
“Hi, Amby. How are you?”
“I’m fine. I told you to stop calling me Amby. I feel like a five-year-old kid” she says and I laugh
“I like it call you like that” I prefer calling you baby or sweetheart but I will leave it for later
“Is ok for tomorrow? You are free for our movie night?”
“Yes. I am glad you can tomorrow and not Saturday. We have girls' night again”
“It’s fine. How is work?”
“Great. Everything is fine and Aaron is the perfect manager”
“I glad to hear. He is very pleased with your work too”
“That’s good. I had and great help”
“Ok don’t keep from your lunch. We talk later “We end the call and return to my work.
When I’m in my car for home Aaron calls
“Hey man what’s up?”
“I’m good. You?”
“Great. I have news. My Alice is pregnant”
“Wow. Congratulations man. I know how long you two have been trying”
“Thanks. She told me last night. You don’t know how much excitement we are”
“I can imagine. I know how hard was for Alice” For a whole year they have been trying, but some health problems Alice has made it difficult to conceive a baby.
“It was a hard year but we did it.”
“I’m happy for you”
“Thanks. You have something to do on Saturday?”
“No why?”
“I will have a boys' night to celebrate. So Alice is at home. You will come right?”
“Of course”
“You can tell and Henry?”
“Sure no problem. We will talk tomorrow for details. I’m driving home now”
“OK. Don’t keep you. Goodnight”
“Congrats again man. See you”
I say and we end the call. After a shower and my dinner, I called Amber again we talked for a while then I fell asleep. I’m very excited about our movie night.
