Josephine Ani and Damien Brentwood went home after their non pleasant encounter at the office.

Both were obviously still in deep thoughts about the decision of the CEO .

Josephine sat on the kitchen top, sipping her juice while she stared outside the window.

Today was the reminder of the day she took that bold step in her life. Thinking about it now, She probably shouldn't have retired from Axon after that fateful match.

The second commentator took over from the former It has been a series of fights and drama and both requested to score it up which resulted to this match.

For all our sake, I am hoping this is going to end the chaos caused by the brutality that has been going on for weeksthe last Commentator spoke with headphones at the back of the

Baam, Josephine fist connected to her opponent's face who staggered and fell on one feet backwards.

She had the opportunity in her hand to end the match. But, she Wouldn't . That won't go too well with the Managers who had a least amount of time for matches to allow the spectators to be entertained.

Her dark skin was glittering with sweat. Yet ,this gave her a glamorous look with hair sticking all over her body.

“Get up?". Josephine gestured with her hands to the female who was struggling to stand on the ring.

Waiting patiently by the ropeside before being all charged by the chanting of the crowd, Josephine made a move to collide with the other female but was pushed roughly on to the ground.

Seeing Josephine rolling with pain the female scoffed “You think you're the best huh? She said dragging Josephine's hair mercilessly.

The crowd booed at the woman who was pleased and was laughing loudly.

“Shut up losers. I'm in control now not your stupid Josephine” .

Lifting Josephine's face by pulling her black hair the other lady landed her a slap.

This seemed to have infuriated Josephine making her mad. She fought back with a punch to the midsection before giving the lady a kick to the face which landed her on her back.

Dragging her from where she lay to the centre of the ring. Josephine climbed to the top rope and landed on her rival's body.

1, 2 ,3 the referee counted as Josephine held her opponent's leg up as the bell rang to signify the end of the match

“Here is your winner,” the reigning women's champion “Josephine” the referee announced holding up her hands to the admiration of the crowd.

When the loud screaming died down, Josephine knew this was the right time to do it. Collecting the microphone, she spoke to the new set of cheers who had begun to chant her name, “Thank you guys”.

She smiled while locking the women's belt with one arm and looked everywhere before nodding at the spectators. Releasing a long breath, she tapped her feet in the ring.

“Stepping onto this ring 4 years ago, I had only one motive -Which was to give my all to the game, this I like to think I did.I also wondered if i would ever be accepted. Luckily, i was and i didn't just walk into a room with eager faces for a show but a family. Yes, I have been so blessed to be here. I sincerely thank God and you, my fans are truly the best tears were already dropping from her eyes.

With sadness in my heart, I have decided to relinquish my belt. I 'm retiring from Axon.The crowd was screaming at the top of the voices and Josephine wondered deep down if she was making the right decision.

It's something I 've been considering for a long time. She continued “ I've decided to pursue my dreams .I would be moving to New York city, I intend to join the wrestling company there .I think it's high time already don't worry i would never forget all of you for giving this black woman a chance".

Josephine dropped the belt with hesitation as she stared at it for the last time and walked out of the ring to the entrance where the stars of the whole locker room stood cheering .The kisses and the hugs lasted forever as everyone was indeed sad to see her go.

“It's been wonderful having you wrestle at Axon . We're sad to let you go but we definitely have support you in your decision. From all of us at Axon, we wish you the best in your new endeavours said the CEO of Axon as he handed her a bouquet of flowers .

She bowed to the spectators and blew a kiss before exiting the arena.

“ Is this really worth it. Hope, I am doing the right thing, she wondered.

Damien Brentwood...

Damien was sitted at the club drinking, He needed to clear his head from all of these.

The attractive lady's roaming around the club in skimpy dresses couldn't give him what he needs.

How he wished that he didn't send his manager to negotiate. Just, maybe he wouldn't be in the spot with the woman he dreaded the most.

He shouldn't have called his manager that faithful day.But, he did.

Damien Flashback

The loud honking of the car behind brought Damien back to the present.

Oh s**t ! he muttered as he looked up at the traffic light which was now blinking green, Only his car remained in the lane.

I'm sorry , he said driving off.

“What the hell was happening ? Two of his credit card was declined 15 minutes ago at the mall. That seemed like a joke till his P.A confirmed it and settled to prevent his embarrassment.

He was a multi millionaire nothing could change that, not even his current loss of job.

Dialing his managers number which soon cut short Drake's hit song playing in the car he spoke as he changed lanes Any new update, he asked as soon as the line connected.

“Of course” . After my negotiations last week MWC have decided to renew your contract. You will definitely be going back to the rings as soon as .

The sudden change of mind, I am pleased though?

“There is a catch here . You, Mr Damien is going to be involved in a romance storyline . I know you will object but these is the only condition possible to get you back in the ring” .

“What s**t are you talking bout, asked Damien?” I've no interest in involving myself with a love interest storyline after everything that just happened. You better than anyone else, should know he bellowed.

The voice behind the line went mute obviously drowned by Damien's angry voice.

Damien pressed the gear and his car came to a halt then added You didn't agree did you ?

“Of course,I did” . It's just the only way to prove you are not a toxic male figure, yunno people still have doubts bout you.Close your eyes all you need do is to let them select the girl and you just act .

You work for me not the other way round , I'll decide what to follow and what not to accept .I'll not let anyone toss any female to me in a bid to follow some stupid scripted story line.

Well , you don't have a choice .It's not an uncommon thing for you to follow a scripted storyline in this industry. Well It's my duty as your manager to promote your brand and I will definitely do that .

“Damien” , the voice called out calmly, It's just a year, think about being once again the trending superstar.

Josephine remebered his words about her father and tears coarsed her face. He still thought so little of her infact everyone just did.Although her many capabilities she had to prove herself and what she could offer to MWC.

Josephine flashback

The Masters wrestling company(MWC) was the leading company in the wrestling world, having a large social meia subscribers and viewers.The main building located at the united kingdom, a building with a seating capacity for thousands.

Staring at the building which stood so tall, Josephine murmurmed some words and made a sign of the cross before making her way to it's entrance.

“Miss, the boss sends for you”, the young man who was very tall and looked like a body guard called out.

Josephine stood up from the seat at the waiting room and removed the f*******: that was keeping her busy on the screen of her Samsung.

Exhaling loudly, she smoothened the non existing fold at the ends of the trousers and followed him inside.

“Anthony Ranias” Josephine read out the name inscription on the door just before she entered inside.

The office was just as she expected it to be - elegant and very bright. The colors were loud but not contrasting and the view from the window was just wow.

“ When you're done checking out, you tell me", the thick male voice spoke startling her.

She turned the voice to see an attractive man who if not for the grey hair spotted still looked agile and stronger than most people his age.

“I'm so sorry sir” .

The embarrassed lady said making her way from the windows to the chair. My name is Josephine and I was instructed to give you this

Taking the papers from her hands, he put on his glasses and looked through the details before questioning “It says here that you are from Nigeria” .

“Yes, I am”, she quickly replied.

I was under the impression that the country do not fully endorse wrestling and you became one .

“That is not really correct” , he looked up at her to continue talking, Not everyone back home hates wrestling, at least me and my friends didn't she added relaxing her back on the seat for the first since she entered.

Regardless, they still prefer boxers to wrestlers, Like it's not still about exchanging blows and fists Josephine laughed at her dry joke

The man stood up from his chair and paced round the room then he turned quickly and spoke with that rough gruff voice . This is the end of your interview,you will receive a message by the end of today.

The look on her face was sheer confusion, okay uhhm thank you sir. She shut the door behind as she walked out Really was that an interview?.

“Gal, I think you got a message”, Josephine's roommate screamed at her from the room.

Josephine jumped down from the counter, putting her leg into the mickey mouse slippers, she rushed over to the room.

She picked up her phone and a message from an unknown number popped up which read “Having gone through your details ,we do not deem you fit to be accepted into MWC ...".
