Chapter 4: The proof

Josephine swallowed as she looked at the tall lady making her way to the ring.
Her eyes jammed Tina who gave a thumbs up motioning for her to go ahead.
No sooner that the lady entered the ring, she had landed two blows to Josephine and starting beating the crap out of her.
After many unsuccessful attempts to push the lady down,Josephine made to fly from the top rope but was carried shoulder high and dropped onto the ring.
Get up,Get up Tina muttered at the sight of her friend lying on the floor.
Before the referee got to 3, The black lady jumped up.
Targeting the left leg of the tall opponent, Josephine continued to inflict pain to the lady before successfully pushing her down.
Seeing this as her chance Josephine once again climbed to the top rope rope landing on the lady who kicked out before the count.
Josephine angrily locked the lady's arm in the arm bar, the lady first resisted but eventually writhed in pain and tapped her arms in surrender.
“You're on fire gurl,You made mama proud”, Tina mimicked Josephine's voice as she spoke.
“I gotta agree with your friend, Mr Anthony smiled proudly, you can roll in cash for me, you're talented.
He collected a document from the young man, glanced at the papers to ensure it was okay then handed it to the wrestler.
...The match was entertaining and for that reason he paused at the expectant look of the lady and said Welcome to MWC .
Everyone at the training room gathered around her to congratulate and welcome her with some patting her back in the process
“Thank you sire, She beamed with joy”. She pointed to the document that was handed to her.
Let's talk privately in my office, he lead the way and she followed .
He closed the door as Josephine entered and stood at one side of his office. You have just been accepted to the best wrestling company, as such for you to make it here, you simply have to heed to instructions . In your hands lie the script I intend to catapult you to the main events as soon as possible.
“The main events? her exicitement was visible all over her face.
“Come back exactly at 3pm with the signed document”.
“3pm today? ", She was taken aback but accepted when he turned to her.
“Yes sir” .
I can't believe my dream will come through after all.
What are you murmuring about Tina asked when Josephine stepped out of the building .
“OMG, I am so happy. Everything worked better than I hoped for she tearfully put.
“Girl, what was all that in the office though?”. Josephine tried to mimic Tina as they moved to her parked car. I sincerely thought to myself these girl is about to disgrace me, she should have just stayed home .
“Bet you're glad, I didn't”, Tina chuckled.
“I must say, I didn't know you got brains”.
“Ouch, So hurt bestie”, She rolled her eyes at the wrestler. Tina was soon distracted at the sight of a parked car.
“Whoa, check this beauty out”.
“It's just a car, it's blue that's all”.Josephine opened the car door,dropped her bag and stood staring at Tina as she gazed at the opposite car.
“This isn't a car, It's a god, She corrected her friend.
“Quite Impressive, can we go home now”, Josephine attempted to drag Tina who vehemently refused.
I'll be in the car, when you're done fawning over that, join me.
Josephine entered her car and brought out the document and started reading it, with a pen in hand.
Her brows fused together in confusion as she trailed over the paper's content.This must be a joke,she tossed the paper at the other seat.
Josephine got down, pressed the button of the car and made to look for her friend.
Tina was grinning at a young man when she got there, The young guy covered in tattoos was resting behind the car.
“Meet Jason, He is the owner of the car”, Tina spoke lightly at this point.
Josephine faked a smile as she waved at him not before noticing the car's plate.
“Owner, huh?
She pointed to the name “It's Damien no Jason”
Jason smiled embarrassingly, he jumped down from the car before whispering to Tina and then he stormed out.
I know he was just fooling around, how can he possibly own that Tina tried to convince the laughing Josephine.
Josephine sobered up when she thought about what she read.
The document contains a very crazy deal, which I can't go through with.
“He wants me to be in a pretend relationship with another superstar”.
“Okay”,
“Is that all you have to say”?
“Isn't this what you wanted along?,Tina retorted .
What about Stanley,Josephine worriedly sat on top of her car facing Tina.
You can't be seriously asking after that jerk. Really, you're worried about that cheater. Girl grow up , move on you have a whole lot in front of you.
“Are you sure,Tina”.
What I am sure is that we're going to conclude your contract today. Tina dragged her back to the building .
The buzzing of the phone interrupted Tina. She picked it up and nodded before replying “Sure, I will be there soon”.
“Babe, I have to go. My deliveries got stuck and a complaint have been laid.Text me when you are done here, bye Josephine.
Josephine alone made her way to The CEO's office and paused when she heard the voices.
You asked to see me Damien, Mr Anthony 's voice said to the person inside his office.
After my manager spoke to me ,I thought that was the best to do.
The voice paused then he charged at the CEO. I need a better explanation as to why my dating life is now an issue to a wrestling CEO .
Josephine gasped as she listened to the voice in the office. She hesitated taking a step.
You are one of my biggest stars and I have fully pushed you to stardom, however I incurred loses because of your court hearings , covered urgent press reviews to quensh the hungry speculators.
“I didn't and would never abuse a woman and I have been proven innocent, in a short while all this would be forgotten”.
“I agree, that's why you weren't fired”.
You aren't in a relationship boy it shouldn't be, a problem. Just, think of it as a favour to the company for having your back.You are not even in a relationship, your manager said so, then this shouldn't be a bother.
“So your awesome plan is to toss me in a relationship while invading my private life as also to let no one know about it.
He nodded his head, To which the young wrestler replied , who is the lady.
“Come on in, he beckoned to her” .
