Chapter One
VIOLETTA…
“BUONGIORNO, Signorina.” Bati sa kanya ng mga tauhan ng kaniyang Papà. ’Good morning, Miss.’
“Buongiorno anche a te cara,” ganting bati niya sa mga ito na may ngiti sa kaniyang mga labi. “Good morning too my dear.’
Halos araw-araw kung magpunta siya sa taniman ng ubas ng kaniyang ama. Gustong-gusto niyang tumulong sa mga tauhan ng kaniyang am. Hindi dahil sa obligasyon niyang tumulong sa mga ito kung hindi gusto niya lang talaga. Magulo pero iyon talaga ang dinidikta ng puso niya. Hindi naman siya pinipigilan ng kaniyang ama, kasi maging ang kaniyang ama makikita mo ring tumutulong sa pamimitas ng ubas.
“Signorina, why are you here again? Should you be in your scuola today?” bungad sa kanya ni Lorenzo ang kanang kamay ng kaniyang Papà.’scuola- school’
Ngumiti lang ang dalaga bago nanguha ng basket na paglalagyan ng mga mapipitas na ubas. She doesn’t have school today, it’s Saturday. Mukhang nakalimutan na naman ni Lorenzo kung anong araw ngayon.
Makapananghali naman ng dumating ang kaniyang Papà kasama ang kaniyang Mama. As a family, they always stick together. Kung nasaan ang isa nandoon palagi ang iba. She had a very loving parents, and she love them too as much as they love her.
So back to where she were saying, kung nasaan ang isa nando’n din and iba. Kapag nalaman ng mga magulang niya na nasa ubasan siya, susunod ang mga ito. At kung siya naman ang nakaalam na nasa ubasan ang mga magulang siya naman ang susunod. Vice versa.
“Signore, Signora, Buona giornata.” Bati ni Lorenzo at ng mga tauhan nila sa mga magulang niya. ‘Sir, Ma’am, magandang araw.’
May dalang mga pagkain ang kaniyang Mama, “kumain ka na. Alam Kong gutom ka na anak,” magiliw na turan ng Ina ni Violetta.
Violetta’s mother is a Filipina, who happened to be married in a vintner that is Violetta’s father. Dating domestic helper ang Mama Leticia niya na nagta-trabaho para sa mga yumaong grandparents ni Violetta. Doon nagkakilala ang Papà at Mama niya, bago naging mag-asawa ang mga ito.
“Tamang-tama Mama, nagugutom na po talaga ako.” Tinulungan na ito ng dalaga.
Violetta is fond speaking Tagalog, she even master it and speak it fluently. Balak niyang umuwi ng Pilipinas at doon maging isang doctor. Where she can help those poor people who need medical help and they don’t have money to see a doctor.
Violetta have a huge heart for the poor. Siguro ay namana niya sa kaniyang Ama na matulungin din sa mga mahihirap.
Signore Antonio Albergo always have a room for his worker. He always seek better life for his employees, hindi bale nang hindi malaki ang kitain ng Ama ni Violetta. Basta maging maayos lang ang buhay ng mga tauhan nito.
And God flourish their business. Lumago ang negosyo nilang ubasan kahit pa hindi iyon ang hangad ng ama ni Violetta. All Signore Antonio wants is a sustainable income for his family and for his men.

ALEXANDER…
ALEXANDER WAS standing proudly at his house balcony. Where he can see all the land that he own. His grapes farm, his legacy. He can see all his men working their ass off the whole day to earn decent money.
“Signore, ha una riunione alle due del pomeriggio con il consiglio di amministrazione.” His butler s***h secretary Pietro told him about his schedule. ‘sir, you have a scheduled meeting at the board of directors this afternoon.’
He look up into the sky, it’s peaceful. Just the way he like it, this is the right weather for his grapes.
“Signore,” Pietro is getting impatient to him he can tell by Pietro's tone.
“Pietro, who is the CEO between me and those son of a bastard’s board of directors?” Alexander said, with his most calm but deep tone of voice.
Pietro on the other hand didn’t waver, his used to his boss attitude. Pietro’s boss, Alexander is known for having a bad temper. No one can agrue with Alexander Moretti, whoever mistakenly intercepts in front of an Alexander Moretti will shed blood and crawl into the swamp.
Alexander was known as a strict and ruthless businessman. Its staff is afraid of their boss. Alexander does not sanctify anyone as long as that person did something he doesn't like, he'll punish them.
Pietro, he's used to this boss's behavior. His serving him for about ten years now, he is with Alexander every step of the way. He would not last long with Alexander if he saw only his bad habits. Pietro knew that his boss was still kind. Alexander is just consumed by anger and revenge.
Pietro knew where Alexander's anger was coming from. Alexander was angry with the woman who left him when he was young. He was angry with his mother for going with another man and leaving him and his father.
Pietro answered his boss with a deep sigh. Before he could say his boss’s other work. He had to adjust for the boss, his boss was not in the mood because of what it showed him. Alexander, on the other hand, has nothing else on his mind now but to rest. He didn't even listen to what Pietro was telling him, he knew that his secretary would do everything for him. And that included his office work.
When was his last break, he can't even remember? But every time he remembers his late father, he loses the word rest in his mind. All he does is work and work and work until he can no longer feel his own body.
"Se non mi costringi a fare niente, ti lascio signore." Pietro said after finishing his work. ‘Kung wala na kayong ipapagawa sa akin, maiwanan ko na muna kayo Sir.’
When his secretary left, Alexander stared at his vineyard for a moment before turning around and entering the house. He remembered his father again, and when this is how he remembered his father. He no longer knew the word rest.
He went straight to his winery, where he brews a new flavor of wine that he will sell to earn heaps of money.
His goal in life was to become a millionaire, to make money to show his mother what her son had achieved. But as time went on, his plans were different.
On the table where he works, there is a small photograph there. His parents' photo, he picked it up and stared.
“I’ll make her pay papà, I’ll make her pay.” He said while looking intently at the photo. Particularly in his mother’s smiling photo.
