Aimee heard Martin's words and shot him a fierce glare. Even if you're going to fool someone, at least come up with a decent excuse. This one wouldn't even convince a fool.
"Practicing martial arts?" Maxwell furrowed his brow at Martin's words.
"Really? Are you serious?" Maxwell asked Martin again, his face full of sincerity.
"Of course, I'm serious. I never lie," Martin replied earnestly.
Maxwell's eyes lit up, and he nodded at Martin with a chuckle, "So you were practicing martial arts. I believe you."
Martin was stunned. This guy actually bought it.
