Chapter Nineteen Ginny I stood at the door tapping my foot. I swore it was payback for when I was a teenager and never got out the door on time, but my dad was really pissing me off. I checked my phone again. I did not have time for this. If we were late for his appointment, I’d be late for the surf lesson. Kapena asked me to join him since he had a crowd. I met Tara and Noah over the weekend at Kiana’s. She had a party for them, something small so they could meet Sawyer’s new friends. All their friends flew in on Sunday, and they wanted to learn to surf, so the two groups were coming together for a surf lesson. And I was going to miss the damn thing. “Dad! Come on!” I yelled. He was making me crazy. His heavy footsteps approached as I checked the time again. “I’m ready. Let’s go.”
