Alvin c****d an eyebrow at me. “That was interesting to watch.”
I shook my head. “You didn’t see anything.”
He chuckled. “I saw plenty. Although I obviously missed something, too. Good for you. She’s hot.”
I nodded. I couldn’t resist agreeing with him on that point. Ginny was gorgeous. There was no arguing that one.
“Why didn’t you tell me there was something going on?”
“Because there wasn’t. We talked today. That was it.”
His eyebrows went up again. “Something else happened. That invitation wasn’t an innocent one.”
I glanced back at Kapena’s house then down the street to make sure we were alone. “It wasn’t. Things got a little heated when we went inside to get water.”
