Chapter 5

I woke up to the amazing sound of my alarm clock which I thought as music to my ears. I got ready super fast, wanting to talk with my mom about everything that was happening lately. I threw on a hoodie and some sweats as I made my hair into a loose bun, clearly not bothered with my tomboy outfit. I walked downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning mom," I said as soon as I saw my mother.

"Good morning, how are you feeling today?" She asked as she prepared the toasted bread.

"Well, I'm feeling great actually," I lied. I felt terrible. I had a headache and I was very tired because I didn't get much sleep. I wonder why? *Cough* Theo Grey *Cough*.

"Mom, can you please pick another bodyguard for me? I don't like this guy, you saw what happened yesterday! I faint at the sight of him!" I grabbed a banana and started peeling it off angrily.

"Honey, you were just shocked and I think There's a great guy, you guys can get along," In your dreams mother. I finished eating the banana and grabbed the toasted bread. I was so hungry that I felt like I could eat ten babies. Just kidding.

When I finished eating, I decided to walk to school. I always walk on Tuesdays, it's a nice weather in the mornings, chilly but not hot. Do you know what I mean?

"Donuts, freshly baked donuts! Go buy some now! Freshly baked donuts only for five dollars," Someone said. I followed the voice and it led me to a stand with donuts. I was still not very satisfied with what I ate for breakfast. And I do love donuts.

"Good morning, how much are the donuts?" I asked nicely even I already knew the price. It's a good way to start a conversation I guess. The guy looked like he was in his 40s.

"Five dollars each, freshly baked right from the bakery down the street," He smiled nicely. I'm so getting some. I took out my wallet and opened it. My smile immediately dropped.

"Sorry, I only have three dollars, next time, have a nice day!" I said and walked away.

"Oh it's fine, you can just pay three, for a pretty lady such as yourself," He said and I turned around eyeing him strangely.

"Oh no that's not right, I'll get them next time,"

"Oh please, I insist take it for free then!" He said. I don't say no to food. Especially when it's free.

"Can I have the chocolate one?" I asked walking to the stand. He picked it up and placed it in a bag and gave it to me. I handed him three dollars but he refused to take it. So I walked behind the stand and took his hand putting the money in.

"Have a nice day," I said walking away and taking a bite of my chocolate donut. As soon as I got to school, I met up with Lacy at the lockers.

"Hey girl, why do you look like you didn't get much sleep?" She asked as she opened her locker.

"You won't believe what happened yesterday!" I said after yawning.

"Spill it out girl," she said.

"Long story short, me in detention, me sleep, boys don't wake me up, I end up waiting for bus, me being chased by super agents, boys find me, me get a ride, me talk with mom, me find out that my father will be coming back to us in two months because he is an owner of the biggest company in America, bad guys after me and mom, mom hired bodyguard, bodyguard equals Theo Grey!" I said gasping for air.

"Your bodyguard is Theo Grey?" She turned to me with wide eyes.

"Out of all the things I told you about, this is the one you catch?" I said shocked.

"Can you tell me the long story please because I'm not Mai, I don't understand anything you just said except the last part," I rolled my eyes and was about to start the story when I heard a familiar squeak. I turned around to see Mai.

"Maaaiii," Me and Lacy screamed together as we ran to her.

"Girls, please. I need air!" She said as we let go of her after giving her a big hug.

"We missed you! How was Hawaii, you lucky girl! Any hot guys?" Lacy asked and I and Mai rolled our eyes at her 'hot guy' question.

"It was amazing, I'll tell you all about it at lunch!" She said and walked to her locker which was right next to Lacy. Mine was a couple of lockers away, not too far.

"Mel, spill the beans! I heard you guys talking about Theo Grey!" Said Mai. Here goes nothing. I told them everything that happened, from the beginning of how I got detention to going to sleep.

"He saw you naked?" Asked Lacy wide-eyed.

"No! She said half-naked," Said Mai.

"Same thing," Me and Lacy screamed together. We looked at each other and burst out laughing but we were interrupted by the bell.

"At the end of this year, I'm going to break the school bells and run away screaming 'I broke the school bells and got away with it'" Said Mai as she groaned, changing the subject which I was thankful for.

"I'll be your partner in crime," Winked Lacy.

"Yeah, and I'll make sure the police won't catch up to you two," I said rolling my eyes while making my way to the first class, Biology, with Theo Grey. Ugh. I can't even look at that bastard after he broke into my room. I wonder how he did it?

'Ninja skills'

Shut up and go away!

I quickly sat down on my seat and put my head down again.

"Hey freak," I heard Theo say.

"Not in the mood Grey, and watch your tone or I’ll tell on you," I simply responded with a cheeky smile. He was getting paid some good money to be my babysitter so he might as well be nice.

"Why not angel?" He asked, how did freak escalate to angel so fastly? Power of threats that’s how.

"Well, you broke into my room, somehow, and wouldn't let me sleep. After I finally kicked your ass out, I fell asleep but only woke up again after having a nightmare about you," The truth is that I had a nightmare but it was about the super agents.

"Awe, I had a dream about you too, wanna know what it was?" He asked and I didn't reply.

"We were in bed, doing nasty things such as f-"

"Gross Grey, what the hell? I thought I broke your thing after kicking you in the balls," I said lifting my head up and shooting him a disgusted look.

"It will take more than that to break my baby," He smirked. I felt sick thinking about it. Like literally sick. I felt like I was going to barf. Oh my god. I immediately ran out of the class passing by the clueless teacher, into the girl's washroom. Thank god none is here. Then I barfed. Right in the toilet. I don't know what got into me but I felt so sick all the sudden. When I was done, I walked to wash my hands and my face.

"Hey, are you ok?" I heard Theo's voice from outside the door. He opened it but didn't come in. Of course, the bad boy doesn't go inside the girl's bathrooms.

"Yeah, I just felt sick and...and," I stopped myself from saying anything when I looked up to look at myself. Why on earth is my face purple? I rinsed my face with water and looked back up. And it was still there.

"What the hell?" I said to myself and washed my face again.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"My face is what's wrong!" I screamed and looked up again at my purple face.

"Why is it purple?" I screamed again.

"Your face isn't purple, what are you talking about?" He asked confused.

"You don't see it? It's freaking purple, oh my god! It won't come off." I yelled again looking back at the mirror. I walked to get paper towels but stopped as soon as I saw a figure standing on my right. I slowly looked there. And there he was. Johnny Blake. Standing and smiling back at me. It felt like time stopped. I couldn't breathe or scream or even blink. I just stood there staring at him with my eyes wide and listening to my fast heartbeat.
