Asteria Celeste Averix Levington POV
It appears we are here in the room and here on the bed.
"I want a mango," I replied, tears streaming down my face. I no longer felt ashamed to show her my tear-streaked face. I really want it.
"Do you really want it?" I nodded in confirmation.
"Yes."
"But Estria, you can't find mangoes at this time, it's three in the morning," she explained. She asked if I wanted a mango, but she wouldn't give it to me. My heart just hurt more and more.
"Alright, I want mango right now," I declared, reaching for my phone.
"Tch," was all she said, indicating her annoyance. I proceeded to dial my phone.
"The morning you were called rascal," Yusei complained.
"Yusei, can I have a favor?" I inquired.
"What?" She seemed sleepy.
"Hmm, bring me a mango please" I begged, hoping she would give me mango.
"Later, Grumpy. I'll buy it first," She responded on the other end of the line.
"No I want now."
"What? Right now? You're asking too much," she replied, yet she still managed to say "Yes."
"Yes, fine. I'll check if there's anything. If Cyra doesn't truly love you, I won't give it to you," she whispered. Perhaps that will pay off for her.
"Yay! Thank you," I exclaimed, releasing my cellphone with a smile.
"Who's that?" asked the person next to me, frowning.
"Yusei" l answered.
"Cyra's girlfriend?" I nodded
Just a few minutes later, the doorbell rang. I immediately stood up, thinking it might be Yusei.
"Oh, Sorin, why are you here?" I asked, opening the door to Sorin, mistakenly thinking he was Yusei. I also panicked a little because Kian might see her. You know what happens whenever she sees Sorin and me together.
"Yusei was busy sleeping, so I bought the mangoes," she explained, handing me the bagged mangoes. There was a generous amount of them. I'm sure they will be delicious. I smiled at her appreciatively.
"Thank you," I exclaimed excitedly, and in the moment, I kissed her on the cheek. Oh, Asteria. Quickly, I glanced around to see if Kian was nearby. Luckily, there was no sign of him. She also smiled back at me.
"You're welcome. I'll go back to sleep now," she said, bidding goodbye. I simply nodded in response. Excitedly, I hurried to the kitchen and began peeling the mangoes. The anticipation was palpable.
Kian is beside me, giving me a disapproving look.
"Why did you kiss that girl on the cheek?" Her voice was filled with anger. My eyes widened in shock. She saw that. Despite feeling nervous, I tried to maintain composure and looked at her, silently assessing the situation.
"I was just really happy, that's all," I responded, feeling the need to justify myself. I knew she would make a big deal out of it if I didn't answer. Meanwhile, she and Kate are kissing face to face.
"Thankful kiss. It's a trend now," she said sarcastically. I couldn't believe what she said.
"It's up to you," I replied calmly. Then, I turned my attention back to my mango, trying to defuse the tension.
I sat in the living room and enjoyed my mango, dipping it into whatever sauce I had nearby.
"Would you like some?" I offered, noticing her curiosity about what I was eating.
"No, I don't want," she replied, expressing her dislike for what I was eating. It seemed like she hated it.
It's okay if she doesn't want any; I won't force her. After finishing my meal, I went to the kitchen, prepared some milk, and added marshmallows to it. Since it was morning, I got up and headed to the bathroom when I felt like I was going to throw up. This has been happening to me for a few days now.
It sounds like you might be experiencing some stomach issues. Vomiting and a sore throat could indicate a viral infection or stomach irritation. It's essential to stay hydrated and consider seeing a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
As for feeling hungry after thinking about food, it's not uncommon for the mind to trigger hunger cues, especially when thinking about appetizing foods like hotdogs dipped in vinegar. It's good that Kian is still around for support. If you're feeling unwell, it's important to prioritize rest and nourishing foods to help your body recover.
"Estria, we're leaving," Kian announced abruptly. I looked at her, surprised by the sudden decision.
"Where are we going?" I inquired, puzzled by the unexpected departure. She simply gave me a look before heading upstairs.
It seems like Kian might be in a bad mood for some reason. As for not knowing where you're going, it can be frustrating, but sometimes surprises can lead to unexpected adventures. Just try to relax and enjoy the journey, even if it's slow due to traffic.
"Kian, let's just go home," I suggested, suddenly feeling sleepy and longing for the comfort of my own bed. She looked at me and sighed, perhaps considering my request.
"Estria, we'll be there soon," she reassured me. I nodded in understanding, realizing that we were actually closer than I thought.
"By the way, Estria, mom wants us to go to them," Kian informed me suddenly.
"When does she want us to go?" I asked Kian.
"Maybe tomorrow," she replied. I'll schedule a check-up for tomorrow. I'm tired of vomiting, I decided and realizing the importance of getting medical attention for my symptoms.
"Can it be the day after tomorrow?" I asked, hoping for a bit more time before the check-up.
"Why?" she inquired. Unsure whether to reveal my intention to get a check-up, I decided to keep it to myself for now.
"I have a walk tomorrow," I replied, offering a simple reason for postponing the check-up.
"I'm just going to meet a friend," I responded, keeping it vague.
"Ah, I see. Cyra and I are going shopping tomorrow," I lied, fabricating plans to avoid revealing the real reason for postponing the check-up.
I understand. It can be disappointing when plans don't work out as expected, especially when someone seems constantly busy with someone else. It's important to prioritize your own well-being and make choices that are best for you.
"Oh, okay," I responded, relieved that she agreed to postpone the check-up.
"I just noticed, Estria. Why are you eating like that? First, the mango dipped in sauce, and now a hot dog dipped in vinegar," she remarked disapprovingly, still expressing her dislike for my eating habits.
What can I do if my cravings are like that? Weird but delicious.
"What's going on with you?" she asked as we arrived at a classy restaurant. With four seats at the table, it wasn't just the two of us here.
"Hey guys," they greeted as Lucian and Aeris joined us at the table.
"Hello," I responded as I acknowledged their presence at the table.
"By the way, Lucian and I are engaged," Aeris announced happily. My eyes widened in surprise, and I applauded, sharing in their joyous moment.
"I'm genuinely happy for the two of you," I said with a smile, expressing my sincere congratulations.
"The engagement party is next month," Lucian promised. It seems that no one really cares.
"Next month?," I remarked, surprised by the short timeframe.
"Eh, Kian, when will you and Big Sis have a baby?" Lucian asked, unaware of how intrusive his question might be.
"Soon," Kian replied calmly, keeping her response brief.
"Soon?" Aeris asked.
"Well, actually, it's almost there," said Kian, sounding uncertain. Is Kian losing her mind?
"I'm thrilled," Aeris said, smiling as the applause grew louder.
"I feel the same way," my wife said, smiling.
Kian, is that truly you? Or am I simply imagining things? But deep down, I know it's just a performance. The truth can be painful.
