. I am at the trials now preparing to leave with my beta and tour the campus grounds. I hate these trials everyone is guilty in the councils eyes but I like giving the benefit of the doubt and giving probation pending the crime or death.
“Hey man are we ready to go? I want to beat the crowd and get our schedules before the herd piles in.” Marcus said
“Yeah man I am ready and I hope everything we requested has been done.”
“ I am sure it has, your dad normally pulls through. Speaking of he wanted to make sure that your alpha ceremony is still on for the end of the year so I went ahead and confirmed it for you. I guess your mom still wants to do her winter wonderland theme”
“Thanks man I can’t be bothered with him today”
“Hey look at it this way we will be away at school and not have to deal with him or any pact stuff for a while.”
“True that, well now that we are here lets get this show on the road” I laughed
We got out of the car and started walking through the corridor towards the check in station to retrieve our schedules and before I can pick up my forms I hear my name being called and turn around to see what’s going on.
“Lance I am so glad I caught you and the beta.”
“No problem Ms. Grant how can we help you is everything alright.”
“Oh yes everything is fine I just would like to run a special case pass you guys.”
“Special case?” Marcus said
“Yes as you may have heard the university over in Wolf Creek had to be shut down and the students have been transferred here since we are the closet.”
“Ok so what is so special about that. We are just getting new students” I asked
“Well young alpha one of the students only does online schooling and don’t work well in public population so the family is looking for a trust worthy student to temporally move into the home and help the student along throughout the end of the school term.”
“So you want one of us to assign someone to babysit a troubled pup basically” I questioned not particularly interested in babysitting some bratty ass troubled pup.
“Well not exactly, look it is a very difficult case and I will fill in whom ever you choose to do this. Honestly we prefer the top student in the class so their grades won’t be effected as long as that student can be trusted. After assignment we will privately discuss the case and move forward from there.”
“Huh, I see where this is going and I am sure it is in my direction?”
“Or the beta of course. You two are our school’s top students and this is a classified case so not even your parents will know what’s going on long as there is no danger. And all of your needs will be taken care of the only items you need as of now is nothing but your clothes.”
“Hey bro I would love to take this on but I really need to be at my practices if I want to lead the team to victory this year.” Marcus quickly informed me
(Sighing) “Alright I will do it. Where am I staying?”
“Oh that is great young alpha and I am sure you are familiar with the land right off the under path before you enter the city. Well beyond the gate is a mansion that you will be living in.” Ms. Grant explained excitedly
“I have seen it but never paid much attention as it is barely noticeable being cover behind so many trees and bushes. However after Marcus and I get our forms I will help him get settled and tour the area and later after orientation I will head over there to get myself settled in.”
“Sounds great young alpha here is the file and my direct contact please call me if you have any questions or concerns and please read the file before you go as I have no idea what you should expect I am told everything you need is in that ceiled file and you should brush up before meeting your classmate.” She said with a smile and nod as she hands me the file and walks away.
“Well lets go tour the town first I am curious as to where you’ll be so I can find you.” Marcus said already walking to the car.
“Yeah I guess.” We get into the car and head to Wolf Creek. It is about an hour away from campus and is quite small. We drive around until we came to the home I am to live for the remainder or the school year. We pull up and get out to look around and boy let me tell you the place is creepy you can’t even see inside the gate its all covered by a stone wall surrounded by trees, vines, and bushes. MidKnight is stirring with and uneasy feeling and so am I a faint but recognizable feeling.
“Bro what’s up with you?” My beta Marcus said with confusion
“I…I don’t know. I just feel odd is all.” I replied
“Odd how? I mean you look like a small school girl who just got her first doll ever.” Marcus laughed.
“Ha ha very funny. But no I just seem get an odd feeling of familiarity when we crossed through this territory line. It is as if there is some kind of weird pull. I don’t know man just forget it. It’s probably nothing anyway so no worries.”
“ok man, if you say so, but listen all joke aside it seems like something is really bothering you and I am your best friend so if you need we can go back to our spot on campus and talk ok.” He said.
“Yeah alright man sure.”
As we drove back to campus, I couldn’t stop thinking about the feeling I was getting from that place. It was so strong and over whelming that I damn near blacked out from the head ache it was giving me. We pulled up to our place that my dad had renovated the way we wanted it and walked in side. I immediately went to the bar and poured me a drink.
“Whoa bro calm down, what is going that you are drinking like you just killed someone. Ironically speaking.” Marcus said.
I took a gulp and said, “Ok bro have a seat I want to tell you a story.” When Marcus took his seat he gave me a look of confusion with an arched brow and I took another drink before starting my story.
