“You can leave,” she dismissed the maid as she wheeled in the trolley containing the food and the young girl gives her a stern look. Not Oni, this was another new person- a new housemaid perhaps as Katherine had never seen her before. She had been trying to familiarize herself with the castle staff and saw that some faces had been known to her. Which meant that while they were new to her quarters, they were already working at castle Wen not 'When' as she had originally thought until Oni corrected her when she saw her texting Dom.

She is adjusting to her new normal…at least until she could…she shook her head. ‘Not gonna jinx it.’

Katherine couldn’t help but think if the girl is one of the people at the castle trying to bring harm to her. She quickly dismissed it however when the girl blushed and averted her eyes when she got up from the bed, throwing the sheet off and cool air passing over her body. She is naked.

Nobody blushes when they are trying to harm someone. Used to being poked and prodded by strangers by now, Katherine hung her legs over the edge of the bed, carefully pulling the thin sheet back over her chest and opened the cover of one of the silver lids- scrambled eggs?

Surprised, she looks up at the new girl who answers without looking at her, “The king says if you are awake to prepare this for you.”

Just what is Oscar playing at for the past week? He had been sending a different maid to her room every morning to serve her breakfast and it had her uncomfortable. But she dared not question him again after that incident in her bath.

Staring at the food, the aroma too much to resist after her stomach grumbles eagerly, she picked up a fork. The girl rushes forward then and opens up the other covers, revealing toast, butter, marmalade, mashed avocado, crunchy kale salad and in the porcelain teacup- chocolate tea.

“Please leave me,” she instructed the young girl and this time she left.

Oscar did this? It is her favorite breakfast. The eggs were sautéed in veggies- yum. Marmalade was in another dish. Toast, tea, guacamole, blueberries and yogurt. She did not bother lifting the lids of the other two dishes, satisfied with what she had now.

Unconsciously her hand caressed the area where Oscar’s teeth had sunk in and replayed the moment in her mind, grabbing the bedsheets as she did so.

‘Stop.’

Katherine’s eyes bulged at her bold thoughts and gobbled her food as if the devil was behind her dirty thoughts. I have to remember I hate him, she scolded herself.

“What are you doing in my chamber?” Katherine’s surprised gasp did nothing to stop Oscar who had badged into her room unannounced. Had his ‘calming spell’ worn off? Her eyes swiveled around in search of her cell phone, Oscar’s aura frightening her. She needed to call Ju to get her magic back on him.

He did not answer her but instead took the cup she had in her hands away and placed it on the small low table before pulling her bedsheets hurriedly to the side. Kat’s gasp again did nothing to hinder his advances as he shrugged off his golden robe and made his way next to her. Thank goodness he was wearing pajama bottoms at least.

Oscar wasted no time, rolling over to the other side of her, pulling her over his waist and that was when Kat heard it. As soon as he pressed himself against her, she heard, [YESSS] It was a slow hiss like one would make if fire had a voice. Like the wind blowing itself over the fiery heat.

While startled, she accepted it in a knowing way somehow and another thing happened. Liquid molten heat overcame her skin and Oscar pushed his pelvis deeper, settling himself between her legs, pulling her neck down towards him. Something exploded inside her head and she heard the inner groan again. And Kat did not put up the slightest bit of resistance and arched her back as her head went down and their mouths met.

Oscar’s hands came up in fists at the back of her head, her hair in the tight grips as his waist wreaked havoc between her legs. Kat grated her softness again his hard one, gasping every time he pushed against her.

Fused together, nothing felt more right in her life.

She questioned why but did nothing to stop it. Minutes go by and Kat’s lips were aching from want and in need of air. Pulling away slowly, she opened her eyes seeing Oscar’s darkened ones looking back at her.

Instead of screaming in horror at her actions, Katherine smiled- more like smirked up at the man. Her husband as he looked down at her. Sometime during their rump, they had traded places and she was no longer straddling him at the top but under him.

‘God, why is he the most attractive man I have ever laid eyes on?’

Catching her bottom lip between her teeth, she arched her back and rubbed herself onto him again, slowly this time, her legs wrapping themselves around his narrow waist. Oscar’s eyes lit up and he leaned forward to kiss her neck.

“Katherine- I want more,” Oscar growled into her ear before his teeth clamped down onto her flesh and he raised himself back up to meet her eyes.

[We want more] she heard the fire sound again.

“I-“ her eyelids closed down heavily when his head swooped down and his teeth once again clamped down onto her flesh. This time, he sucked on the soft area too.

[We want him]

I must be under a spell, Kat thinks when shudder after shudder rocks her as his tongue darts back and forth and she hears herself say, “Please.”

He slowly lifts his head and looks at her with a slight furrow between his thick eyebrows as if asking her if she was certain or perhaps if he was hearing her correctly.

But now waiting to confirm either, he knelt in front of her, placing her legs open and on either side of him, one hand coming up to cup her bre*st on the same side.

“You’re wet Katherine,” his husky voice reached her and her face heated up.

Then his long slender fingers rubbed the silky area and Katherine’s hands rose to cover her face. Oscar’s deep satisfied throaty laugh was the only sound she heard before, [Devour us].
