'The moon hangs high on this accused night
Hearts stretched above the sky, Moon Goddess we beg; give us the power to rid the earth of this beast...'
Katherine ignored the low chanting as a wave of pleasure washed over her and her body went almost limp, feeling the dampness as it flooded down her inner thighs.
‘Did I just’ ... then her mind went black.
Not wanting to open her eyes when she awoke, remembering her shame, she forced them open, her cheeks stinging as she stared up at the ceiling, wrapped in her silk sheet...alone. And her neck ached. Katherine recalls last night. How Oscar had felt and her eyes grew heavy. Her toes tingled.
His hands and simmered her heat and yet she wanted more. Her body had welcomed him and Kat’s cheeks burned when she remembered the way she had writhed herself against him…his bare exposed stomach. His hard muscles had felt like heaven against her heated core.
The way her back had arched. She groans in embarrassment now. His fingers running between her thighs to her junction. The way he had slid one inside her so skilfully…her body had jolted but the ecstasy of his slow movements. She gaps even now as she recalls his touch. How she had rubbed herself against it, wanting more but he had stopped her. Instead, he reigned more kisses about her skin then took her out of the tub. Kat did not remember protesting when he laid her on her bed. Nor when he stripped himself of his robe and joined her on it.
Her legs ached now but Kat is still a virgin she knew for she was not sore. Her cheeks grew darker and spread to the rest of her face, spreading to her ears and neck when she thinks of how she had gripped his back by tightening her legs when he tried to get off her. She slaps her cheeks with both hands and squeals just as Julie knocks and walks in. Her eyes widened when she heard Katherine but the newly-wed queen only covered herself with the sheet and make another cry kicking at the air beneath it.
But Oscar did not come off her mind still. She still plays how he had been holding his weight up by bracing his forearms at her sides as she lay flat on her back on the bed while he had chosen to settle between her legs as he busied himself with her chest. Wave after wave of desire each time his moist soft tongue passed over her n*pples.
Oscar had only toyed with her. Still, although ashamed, she was grateful for his unexpected but welcomed intrusion last night. Next time she’ll try not to…oh for goodness sakes…she’s already planning and looking forward to next time. She moans and rolls around the bed again startling Julie who had paused her greeting, unsure of what to do next.
Katherine then spent the better half of the morning in bed wishing the earth was ready to swallow her. By lunchtime, she had gotten around to taking a walk in the gardens followed by staring at her canvas blankly. Now she just could not believe his audacity by bringing this woman here… after rolling on her bed. Literally.
“Would you like it if I bring my man over here to join this meeting my dear King?” Katherine rolled the words out as if it was an everyday occurrence as she stared at Nuwa. Why was the woman at the dinner table?
Truthfully, it hurt when she looked up from the seat she had just taken and seen the woman by his side. She flared her nostrils and looked at the perfectly polished silver cutlery near her plate on her left. She ignored the salad fork and opted instead at the other fork closer to the plate. Her eyes traveled to the right side where the dinner knife lay, two and a half centimeters from the plate, its blade facing her.
Oscar
Oscar stared at the woman sitting directly in front of him on the opposite head of the table at the foot. She snared her teeth and he returned the sadist smile, his knuckles almost white on the tabletop. He couldn’t explain the fiery rage his body underwent in the following few seconds of hearing her words.
He wanted to bash her head against the wall behind him. He wanted to sink his teeth into her neck and drain her dry- to stare at her lifeless corpse. But most importantly he wanted to smash this non-existent man’s body into pieces. Oh yes, he knew his little wife has never had a man touch her deeply. Not in any real way…still the thought filled him with unexplainable rage. He glares at Anthony who was also seated at the table.
Oh, how dare she say something like this to him? As if she didn’t know who he is and what he was capable of. It’s not like he had said, “Hey Nuwa, my wife is coming to dinner, lets rile her up and join us.”
Of course not. He had no idea Katherine was coming to dinner tonight and Nuwa always sat with them before he had gotten married- after all, she was his chosen bride. This could have been avoided however had the servants done a better job of notifying him as to who was coming to dinner. They had informed him earlier that his bride was not joining him and so Nuwa had been granted permission by him to attend tonight.
He had been turning his girlfriend's request for weeks now at the family dinners and he truly felt guilty about it.
His cousins snickered on the right side of the table. Tonight, of all nights, everyone is having dinner. Even his father was to be escorted in a bit. Yichen made his disgust known, blowing out a breath and shaking his head but not meeting Oscar’s eyes.
His wife could be jealous now if he read her correctly. Isn’t this how jealous women acted? Fine, he did not want any sort of scene that would have the castle talking about. Then Katherine did the unexpected- she slowly got up and stared at Nuwa, walking slowly towards her. Oscar could feel the uneasiness in his stomach- Katherine was still smiling.
“Move,” she commanded softly and two royal guards swiftly came to stand beside her, ready to protect her, if need be, as Nuwa stared at her, still seated.
He had corrected his past mistake just as advised by Anthony and let his guards know that Katherine comes first, after him. He had not apologized for his poor behavior previously for a king is never wrong. Instead, he had said to them, “She is your Queen now, no disrespect will be tolerated.”
Nuwa looked at Oscar but Katherine was not having it, “Now,” she added as she bent her back a little to look at Nuwa almost eye level.
Oscar is speechless and unsure of what to do.
Snapping his teeth, he muttered, “So that’s your move, Katherine?” and he catches Anthony's eyes. The royal guard was silent with his head bent but raised enough to give Oscar looks that both men understood. He nodded to one of the other guards who walked to Nuwa and stood to her left waiting.
His girlfriend seemed startled for Oscar had seen her smiling when he had mumbled beneath his breath and he frowned. Did she actually think that he would have asked the royal guard to escort his wife out? No- Katherine is queen he had explained to her previously. He thought Nuwa understood that.
The queen will always come first. But Nuwa has his heart- isn’t that what should matter to her? Him? He frowns when she made as if to stand but didn’t. “Leave Nuwa, I will see you after dinner. Please fix yourself a plate,” he added when her facial features crumpled, for he knew she would sulk and not eat.
“Julie, fix her a plate,” he instructed the head maid who nodded and walked to a stunned-looking Nuwa, encouraging her to stand up and walk.
Katherine took the seat immediately, looking at her. Seeing her looking back at Katherine then at him unbelieving, Oscar nodded again for the guard to hurry up when his aunt entered the room. Nuwa protested silently when the guard held her by the arm and tried to shrug his hold off.
“Did I miss something?” aunt Fen queries when she hears Nuwa’s struggling and turns back to look at her then Katherine, a slight frown between her perfectly marked eyebrows. Marked is correct as aunt Fen hardly had any and waxed them completely off, drawing them on instead with whatever the beautician used.
“No aunty Fen, everything is fine, I’m not feeling well. I’ll just excuse myself then,” Nuwa grated out as politely as one could in a situation like this.
Aunt Fen lifts her eyebrows and shakes her head, smiling tightly, “Well, if you must, you must, run along then.” Then she sits to Oscar’s right and went on saying, “Your father will not be joining us.” It was as if Nuwa did not matter to her- of course, nobody mattered to aunt Fen besides her son whom she wanted to rule the kingdom.
Oscar flicks his chin in the direction of another guard and he, together with Julie and the other guard takes Nuwa out of the room. “Get your dirty hands off me,” were her parting words just before the large door is shut with a loud click. Normally we would have the doors open but Nuwa’s loud behavior calls for it being closed.
The servers began to bring in the food, presenting from the left, starting with him.
