THE END

3417 Words

“Mother,” Prince Duncan greets her, opening his door, eyeing her guard, recognizing all of them as pack members, no hybrid insight. “Are you not going to invite me in?” Queen Lara asks. “No,” Prince Duncan says flatly, knowing that no supernatural can enter his house without an invitation. Queen Lara signals her Shaman and he starts to hymn. Queen Lara pushes past Prince Duncan followed by her guard, “where is she?” “Who?” Prince Duncan plays dumb. “I can f*cking smell her so stop paying me for a fool,” Queen Lara says, her voice lined with anger, her authority bringing Prince Duncan down on one knee followed by the other. “She left,” Prince Duncan says through grinding teeth, his eyes forced to the ground. With Prince Duncan on his knees, the shaman puts an obedient spell on him.
