Chapter 1: Ruined

1289 Words
Easy come, easy go. That's just how I live my life and never cared for anyone, since the most important person for me, left me already. I didn't realize that I no longer know how to love either someone or myself. I wouldn't care if they get hurt because of me, I only care for what I want. Will I ever learn how to love again? Even though I'm still haunted by my past? Kalyx's POV Present The night was alive. One of my friends threw a party in their villa. Different styles of outfits can be seen here. Many boys are wearing casual clothes like me wearing an unbuttoned dark brown plaid long sleeve with a plain white t-shirt underneath, a black ripped jeans and a pair of white sneakers. But most girls are wearing revealing clothes to show off their body curves and sexiness. Coloured lights are flashing everywhere on the house. We drank into our heart's content, many were dancing into the beat of deafening music that thrummed straight through the body surrounding our eardrums. Of course, flirting with someone is fine at the party. I find myself in the corner of the crowded people and kissing someone I met there, though I don't know her name yet. We exchanged kisses with each other. Her lips taste like strawberry because of her lipstick and I tasted a little alcohol that she drank too. She's pressing her body into mine, making me feel that her front is big. I'm holding onto her waist and enjoying the curves of her body, then moved my hands bit by bit in her lower part and grabbed her thick *ss. Everything would have been fine if not for that one person who ruined my night. Someone pulled me and suddenly slapped my face so hard. It's Dennise, wearing a knee length off shoulder maroon dress and light-brown high heeled sandals with neutral makeup on her face. *slap* "F*ck! What's wrong with you?!!" I yelled, caressing my left cheek that she slapped. s**t, it hurts! How'd she know that I am here? I clearly told my friends not to tell her where I was! "What's wrong with me?" Dennise pointed her hands into her chest. "I'm your girlfriend, Kalxy! How could you do this to me?!" she demanded. Her face is seriously mad but I don't have time for this kind of sh*t. The girl I am kissing stepped back and left us. Guess she doesn't want to get involved. "Oh sorry, I forgot I have a girlfriend." I took a single step towards her and put my hands in my pocket. "Now that you mentioned it, I guess I'm back for being single again." "W-What are you saying?" she frowned and obviously she was wondering about what I said. I bowed my head into her ear and whispered. "Because I'm breaking up with you right now!" "What?! What are you talking about?!" "We're done now, Dennise." I declared. She was so surprised and it seemed like she had a lot to say, but I walked past her so I couldn't hear any of what she wanted to say out of her mouth. "Wait, Kalyx! How could you?!" she shouted and chased after me. "We're not done yet! Just because you said it doesn't mean I'll agree to whatever you want! Kalyx!" "I will never accept all of this! Don't you dare think that you could ditch me easily!" She continued to yell at me even though many noticed her already that she looked so desperate. "Kalyx!" "You'll regret doing this to me! I swear!" I continued to walk away from her and reached out the outside of my friend's house. There, I saw my BMW i8 Sophisto Grey parked on the road not far in front of the house and walked towards it. But still, Dennise kept on following me despite the fact that her words didn't matter to me and I never looked back at her. "Kalyx King!" It's the last words I heard from her when I got in the car and drove away. She seemed to be crying when she called my name. It's a good thing for me that I didn't look back since I am weak to the women I see crying. Although I am the cause of her tears, I don't regret it. I'm fed up with her. I didn't take our relationship too serious even at first, nor do I want to stay with her for too long. I never liked her, it's just a fling. "Sh*t! I slammed the steering wheel. "This should be a good night for me! F*ck Dennise!" I muttered. I don't know where to go now since I don't want to go home yet. I looked at my wrist watch to check the time and it's already 8:27 pm. "Ah, where should I go now?" Meanwhile, when my eyes focused on driving, I heard successive sounds coming from my phone that I left in the dashboard phone holder. I took it and when I looked at it, I received a number of messages from Dennise. "Jesus Christ! She's still not done?" Out of my annoyance, I blocked her in my contacts and in my social media accounts so she can't bother me anymore. I didn't read any of her messages either. Then I laid my phone in an unoccupied seat at the right side. *ringggg-ringggg* My phone rang unexpectedly again for the second time. "Bloody hell! Who was it this time?" I took my phone and saw the name Keith calling me. It's my friend and I completely forgot that he's with me at the party. I answered his call then turned on the loudspeaker so I could hear him clearly, and put it down on the dashboard phone holder again. *** "Hey bro, what the f*ck?! I heard what happened between you and Dennise. Damn, I regret not seeing it!" I could hear the sound of music at the party where he was still. "Dickhead! Where were you that time?! Now I have nowhere to go!" "I'm … enjoying the party?" "Son of a b***h!" "Look man, I'm sorry … I thought you were enjoying yourself … I just lost my sight in you for a minute and … boom!" "Who told her I was at Daniel's party? Goddamnit!" "I don't know … but you see, it's not our friends. You clearly told us not to talk to her. Maybe she has some … assets?" "That witch! ... Block her number and her accounts from you now! Told them to do the same. I'm done with her!" "Yeah, I got it ... You really are good at running, huh? I saw her crying outside, in front of Daniel's house." "Piss off!" "Ha ha, where do you plan to go? I can't believe you can still drive in that condition, I know you drank a lot of alcohol here at the party." "I'm not that drunk, i***t! I'll go … somewhere." "You better tell me where you're going, man!" "Yeah … sure." "I'm serious here, Kal!" I didn’t pay much attention to Keith instead focused myself on driving and saw something that caught my attention. A coffee shop on the left side of the road. I felt the urge to drink coffee because at this time, maybe a cup of coffee can save my frustration with what happened tonight. So I stopped my car without any hesitation. The car in the back horned at me nonstop for doing such a stupid thing. "Hey, what happened? I can hear the horn of someone's car! Are you okay? 'You still there?" "I'm hanging up." I replied. "Hey Kalyx, wai—" *toot-toot-toot*
