As Mason walked up to the stage, he noticed he was walking alone. He turned to see Skylar hugging a woman that could be her twin. Well, almost her twin, the woman's hair was turning grey, and her eyes were forest green. He smiled, thinking, "That must be her grandmother."
Skylar took the woman's hand and walked towards the stage; she shook her head and said something. Skylar frowned but hugged her and let her head back to the hospital.
When Skylar reached Mason, he asked "Was that your grandmother?"
She nodded.
Mason noticed the tears in her eyes and pulled her into his embrace. "It will be ok. We will make this brief, and then we can meet your mom."
"Thank you," was all that Skylar managed to say.
