Skylar trotted up to the front of the packhouse with Mason, Mitch, and the survivors. She was still holding Merlia's head in her mouth; she was ready to celebrate. However, there was no one in sight, except for Jericka. Jericka was holding a small girl and crying over her.
Jericka looked up and smiled, "Skylar, you never cease to amaze me. I see you got Sky and Zara to work together."
Skylar dropped the head and shifted, "Yes, they saved my life. Much like you did that night not too long ago. Merlia had me levitated into the air. They instructed me to relax and act defeated. She gave a little, and they took complete control."
Mason and Mitch shifted. Mason asked, "Where is everyone?"
"The hospital. Skylar, I'm so sorry, but Alpha is fighting for his life," Jericka started crying again
