Chapter 26 Adriano Menendez settled on his balcony and watched the sunlight hovering above the horizon. A beautiful evening in Wisconsin. He’d picked his day carefully. Party boats with revelers passed by the village docks, shooting off fireworks. The police patrol was on hand to slap the idiots on the wrist. But little more appeared to be done. This was a day for celebration. Some people would have more to celebrate than others. Menendez moved back to his bedroom where his golf bag lay on the bed. He took out the golf clubs that camouflaged the parts of a long-distance rifle. He’d set up something much more efficient that a bullet that might or might not strike its target at long range. A bomb generally did the trick. Menendez had a beard, steel-gray hair, gray eyes and a deep grudge
