o-Lakes Campground. RV’s keep right. Cabins keep left.Annie pulled off the highway and onto a gravel driveway that led to Beaver Lake.
She wasn’t as wide-awake as she’d thought. She’d fall asleep if she kept going on this one-lane highway with nothing but her headlights. She saw the office and headed in the opposite direction way down the lane into a clump of trees that overlooked the lake. It would be beautiful when the sun came up. She’d heard that Beaver Lake fell into Lake Nager through high waterfalls, something she’d been meaning to see. Maybe tomorrow morning before she left.
She snuggled into a blanket and pillow she always kept in her car and fell asleep, sure she’d done—was doing—the right thing.
