Chapter 43 Mark’s restlessness got the better of him. He walked past Annie’s room, she held the phone out to him, shrugged and pointed. Apparently, she hadn’t reached her friends yet. He mouthed, “I’ll be across the hall.” He started for his room, but changed his mind, walked downstairs and pushed the porch screen door hard.
