As I hung up the phone, a bright smile spread across my lips, and I felt a thrill of satisfaction. It was refreshing to hear Asher beg, though it was reluctant. An apology was something he found hard to say, so its a small feat to me.
Anna's voice jolted me out of my thoughts, I had almost forgotten she was still with me in the office. “So, are you deleting the post?” she questioned with her arms crossed, and her hip leaning against the desk.
“I never said that,” I replied, turning on the computer, getting ready to work. I was ready to dive into the mountain of work that had accumulated since the former managing director's departure.
“But you're considering it?” Anna pressed on with a deep snort. “I mean, you just said you were going to consider his lame request!”
