The moment the news arrived from Lyonesse, it spread through Chimera like wildfire: the scientists had developed a medicine that protected against the biocide. They were creating it in bulk and sending it out to all the refuge sites as fast as they could. All the colonists had to do was sit tight and wait for their doses to arrive.
