Chapter Thirty-Four
“The Opportunity is back!” Tricia exclaimed.
Kes looked up from the vaccine pods he was loading into a case.
Tricia was the lab’s main contact with the refuge’s coordinator. She was holding her ear comm as she listened to the rest of the message. “Apparently the satellite picked up its signal a while ago, but now it’s entered the system and it’s on its way to Concordia.”
Kes stopped what he was doing. Tension he hadn’t known he was carrying drained from his body. Wilder was going to be okay. The girl was like a sister to him. He couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to her.
