The Guardian Queen

Update - April 2024

Dear readers,

After working tirelessly to complete the guardian king and then editing and publishing my first novel, A Hand to Hold, in paperback format, I have reached a bit of a creative slump.

Sometimes inspiration comes in waves. Sometimes barely a trickle.

In addition to this inspiration drought, I have been experiencing a bit of a mysterious health issue. Without going into too much detail, this issue has impacted my day to day life including my mental focus. My husband and I have been seeking answers to the root of my symptoms and are optimistic it’s nothing major and can be easily solved once we know what we are dealing with. Thankfully, it’s not cancer related.

I’ve wrestled with whether I should even share this at all but given the outpouring of love for this story and the eager anticipation of its conclusion, I felt you deserved an update on it’s progress even if that update isn’t very good news.

Rest assured, aside from unforeseen dire circumstances, there is absolutely no way I’d EVER abandon this story.

I beg you, be patient with me a while longer and trust that this story means as much to me as it does to you and more. And it’s due to this love that I cannot rush its creation.

I am tremendously grateful for all the support and encouragement I’ve received. It is the fuel to my perseverance.
