I was outside finally, and I dashed for the woods, not slowing or looking behind me. The rough ground tore at my feet as I continued running, my breathing erratic and my heart pounding out of my chest as I pushed myself to go faster, hearing the man close behind me. As I continued running, I came upon a rock ledge, not noticing it soon enough and going right over the edge. I fell, my body tumbling down the rocky wall. I finally crashed to the ground, the wind being knocked from my lungs. My body felt like it had been tossed around by a bull, everything aching and burning. I pushed up from the ground and looked around for somewhere to hide, finally spotting a fallen tree to hide underneath.
