-Bellas POV-
"What. The. Fuck."
"A make-over, my love."
"Jay... no!"
"Bella... yes!"
In front of me was 14 girls, each of them having something in their hand. Make-up, curler, straightener ...etc! They were make-up artists.
I looked at Jay and I had no clue why he had tears in his eyes. He wiped his tear so dramatically...that it made me laugh. He looked damn proud.
"Girls!" He said in a high-pitched tone and flipped his bangs.
"Turn that ugly duckling into a swan! A red swan!" He clapped his hands.
They all walked to me. One of them pulled me with her to a different room and the other girls were behind us, following us. I looked once again at Jay ...for the last time. And he was smirked, winking to me.
That was so not gay.
Jay told me yesterday that he still has to organize the place where the party will be held. And that he'll have a lot of work to do. He was hard working and loved to help people. So let's just say, he'll help the workers there.
-
So, here it is. I was sitting on the chair and they all were looking down at the mirror. At my reflection. I gulped when I saw the state I was in.
"So...how do I get all eyes on me at that party, too?" I let out an awkward laugh and they all sighed in unison. I looked at their name tags and tried to memorize their names.
"In the state, you're in. It's impossible." Lara shook her head.
"We have to change you from head to toe." Wendy also shook her head. "If we can..." She added then pursed her lips. I gasped dramatically.
"We have plenty of time, too. It's 5 am and the party starts at 10 pm." The girl, Emma said.
"C'mon. I don't look that ugly, do I? I mean It's still early so of course! Of course, I'll look wasted." I giggled and they all gave me a judging look.
"You are ugly, girl. But why are we here? To get you pretty of course!" Elisabeth said in a clear loud tone.
"We're your miracle, honey," Hannah said and turned my chair to the other side.
"I'll wax her left leg!" Maria let them know and looked at Jenny. "And you'll wax her right one." She told Jenny.
"W-Wax? N-No! My legs are perfect!" I let out helplessly.
"I'll thread her eyebrows!" Sana said after leaning closer to my face, looking at my eyebrows.
"My eyebrows are completely fine!" I glared at her and she shrugged.
"I'll take care of her hair. But I need help." Bianca said and looked at the other 7 free girls, who weren't sure what to do." Isabella and Jessica. We are responsible for her hair." Bianca said and they nodded with a smile.
So I guess...the other 4 will do my make-up. Right?
"Let's help her with the dress." The girl, Ashley, said. Nope. So, Madison and Olivia were in charge of my make-up.
Maria and Jenny started doing their work. Their job. And gosh did my legs burn. I was screaming and screaming in pain.
It was time to wear shoes. And they felt so uncomfortable. So tight. I knew it. Jay wanted to see me suffer.
"Sweetie. For a woman comfort and beauty are totally the opposite. Meaning you're more beautiful as much as you're uncomfortable. Smile!" Lara said.
"But my feet hurt!" I whined.
"I told you to smile! You will smile even if you walk on shattered glass! Men like to see happy and optimistic women in front of them. That's why we, the women, smile until marriage. After the marriage, we turn into cry babies. Listen to me, Ms. Eva. Believe me!" Irene scolded me. And I smiled. I forced a smile.
"And finally, the hair!" Bianca cheered. I rolled my eyes.
"The hair consists more than 50% of the appearance. There's no way to wander with a shabby and neglected hair." Jessica said and forced me to bend over so that she could wash my hair. She then started cutting my ...my so precious long black hair.
The next station was Sana.
"If you want to be a beautiful woman, you have to bear the pain. You can't become beautiful without hurting. Without pain." Sana was freaking threading my eyebrows. And I swear, my vision was blurring from all the pain. Bear this pain? No. I prefer to stay ugly for...forever.
"The final!!!" Ashley came with the dress, carrying it. The other girl was carrying the end. Because that dress was freaking long.
I-I told ya.
-Jay's POV-
I was inside the palace, explaining to them how I wanted this to turn out. How I wanted it to look like. When Bella appears. When the door opens and everyone looks at her.
"I want the glitter to fall down on her. Like...how do I explain it? First of all, after everyone arrives inside the palace and are waiting for my fiancée to arrive, I want you to turn the lights off. And then, when the door opens, she should be the highlight. I want that glitter to make her look like an angel....what she already is. I love her really a lot and want to make her smile. To make her look confident in herself." I was trying to explain WHAT I wanted even with my face expression and body language. I hope he got it.
"Sir ...I didn't get any of it."
Oh. He didn't.
"But! I know what you mean. I mean, I didn't get any of it. But I know what you mean." He laughed. I tilted my head to the side, obviously confused.
"Your way of explaining it with your body is...amazing." He winked to me and I blushed. Damn. This boy is so cute.
I should...just wink back.
We started winking. A battle. I am sure I'm better-
Bella. Think about your love, Bella.
"And the tables. Not round ones, but high top ones. The deco should look expensive and beautiful. Got it?" I asked him and he nodded.
"I need free space for dancing of course. And the music choice should ... be my cousin Henry's." I told him and he nodded.
"Ayo! Jay"
"There he is." I sighed in relief and saw my cousin, Henry, dancing his way to me. He was wearing his headphones. He had great taste in music.
"Imma beat that p***y like you never ever felt before. So take it off now girl-"
Yeah. Definitely a great one.
-Antonio's POV-
"Where's David?" I asked, a hint of worry, yet annoyance could be heard in my voice.
Noah looked at me and shook his head." He won't come out of his room. Again. He doesn't want to go out after...you know. That scar, that ruined his face." He said and I sighed.
David was always judging himself. He wanted always to look good, and just perfect. After that...that one night when I wasn't in my right mind, Aiden has changed. And that a lot.
He was hiding and calling himself a beast and that he'll never be able to go on another blind date and have fun. He said that girls would be scared of him and run away after seeing him. After seeing his face.
"Are you happy now? I bet you are." Gabriel scoffed, glaring at me.
"I...I'll talk to him," I said and was about to head to his room, but Ronaldo stopped me. I looked at him and saw fear in his eyes.
"Don't. He won't think twice. Either he'll kill you after seeing him and for being the reason for his state. Or he'll kill himself after being seen." Ronaldo said in a low tone, raw tone.
"He...hates me." I bit my lower lip.
"Not only he does, Vera." Gabriel walked past me, making sure of hitting my shoulder hardly with his.
"Let's go, Vera. We'll be late for the party. And we can't be late for that one, too." George said as he placed his hand on my shoulder, looking deeply into my eyes. I nodded and took my gun with me. They all took their guns with them and we headed to the party.
The scene. It was playing right in front of my face. So vividly. I still remember his face. His eyes when he saw his reflection. My heart hurt.
I am sorry, David.
"Ah, I forgot to tell you! She's here. I don't know how she found out about the party...but...good luck, buddy." Tedi whispered into my ear and I sighed, already seeing her waiting.
"Antonio!" She smiled, waving to me.
She was wearing something...I didn't like at all. It didn't match with my outfit and she looked too innocent. It wasn't even touching her skin. It was too free and the dark green color...she still doesn't know my taste. What she was wearing wasn't suitable for that big party, which is starting in exactly 1 hour.
"Kaylee, what are you doing here?" I asked her and she decided to greet everyone first. I rolled my eyes. I always hated girls like her, sticking like glue to a good-looking and really rich guy. Aka...me.
"I asked you what you're doing here!" I raised my voice and she looked innocently at me.
Why does she have to be so innocent? No wonder she's still a virgin. I didn't get a great f**k for 2 years. I miss the old days. The old days when she...my lost rose-
"I am coming with you. As ...your girlfriend of course."
I sighed.
"Who's gonna tell her? I pity her!" Noah shook his head and Tedi slapped him lightly.
"We all do pity her, dumbass- I mean hottie." Tedi winked to Noah.
Oh, I give up on everything.
-Author's POV-
David was watching them getting in the car and driving away. His room was dark, but the moon was helping him to see at least a little.
He hated Bela and Antonio. For taking away. Taking away the only thing that was left to him. His beautiful face. He walked to his mirror, looking at his reflection. His cheek and nose, both had to be stitched. It was still visible...for him. He still could see it.
He shook his head and started whimpering again. Memories of his sister, which he thought he forgot appeared again. She saw her having a teddy bear in her hands.
A teddy bear plush.
His head ached. The burning house. He saw everything. You could say that the flames were showing in his eyes. He tried to open the door and save his parents and sister. But it was too late. The house was burning and the whimpering wouldn't stop. He heard his parents.
But his sister...her...he couldn't hear.
David screamed and started to hit his body against the wall, trying to forget those memories. He always tried, but now ...he couldn't just try.
To join the gang, he had to forget his parents and his childhood. He had to forget his little sister. He had to forget everything. They all swore that they'll be there for each other. George, Gabriel, Noah, Tedi, and Ronaldo.
But why wasn't anyone for David there? Even now. David hoped someone...even if it was Antonio, to come and call him. To tell him about the party. Because he wanted to go outside for once. For once in those 2 years.
"I guess, they are disgusted from me. I guess...they also, can't look at my ugly face. Just like I can't look at myself." Aiden sat on the floor and had his head between his hands, he continued whimpering. He was crying silently.
"Because who would love a beast?"
-
It was at 10 pm. Everyone was inside the palace and Jay...the poor Jay was having such a hard time. He was doing all himself. The glitter and so on.
Jay bumped into Antonio and their eyes locked. Jay's eyes turned dark, with hate, but his smile showed so much love.
"JJK also came? Seems like you're interested in my fiancée." Jay raised his eyebrow and James seemed lost.
"Tivis and his gang will arrive soon, too." Jay chuckled and was about to leave, but Gabriel stopped him.
"You and Tivis. Fishy, isn't it?" Gabriel knew something Jay and Tivis tried to hide. And no, it had nothing to do with a hidden relationship or so. But betrayal.
Roses.
Meanwhile, Bella, Bella was behind the door. 2 guards were asking her if she was ready and she shook her head first. Of course, she wasn't. There were a lot of important people. And Bella knew Jay's friends. He had a lot of friends.
"Ms Bella, Mr. Wilson-"
"I am ready," Bella told them and they nodded and held the doorknob. Her heart was beating faster and faster, her breath also picked up its space.
She felt so nervous.
Klick.
Just then, the lights turned off. It was dark. She could hear some people whispering, but that stopped when the only light was focused on her.
She really was the highlight. All eyes were on her. But Antonio was with his back turned, so he didn't saw her.
He didn't at first.
People started gasping, they could swear that Bella was the most beautiful girl they ever had seen in their life. Her black hair perfectly made the contrast with the red long dress. And suddenly, sparkling glitter was falling down to her. She closed her eyes and let the glitter finish its a final job. The final touch.
She wasn't just a pretty girl. Hell, she wasn't.
A pure angel. A fallen angel.
She started walking down the stairs. Her 1st step, 2nd, 3rd. Some girls were looking with jealousy at her. But all boys, in a relationship, gay or single, they were looking with love at her and adored her. They were so amazed.
Bella was focused on Jay. But they all were focused on her. Just what her fiancé wanted.
It was silent. It really was. But the compliments were so loud in Bella's ears. She started to walk down with confidence, her long dress still not fully inside.
"My brother choose the right girl," Kaylee said it to herself proudly, but it was loud enough for Antonio and the others around her. And they all turned around, seeing Bella.
Antonio´s mouth dropped. It was a shock for him. A big shock.
Antonio missed Bella. The truth is that...he was forcing himself to hate her. But if you miss someone and see that someone so unexpectedly-it's just impossible to hate that someone.
After all, how can he hate his lost rose he missed so much?
He´s been longing to see her again.
Gabriel and Ronaldo started gritting their teeth after seeing her. But yet, there was still so much warmness in Noah's and George's eyes. And so much hate, mixed with fear and in Antonio's.
He couldn't decline. Antonio really couldn't. Red really suited Bella the best. And a red rose was always, always more popular than the other colors.
Because red had so many meanings.
And one of them was ... Love.
