Tristan walked home from the movie night, feeling like he was on cloud nine. He couldn't stop smiling as he replayed the night in his head. Priscilla's smile, her laugh, the way she leaned into him... he was hooked.
As he got home, he texted Priscilla: "Got home safe . Thanks again for tonight." She replied almost instantly: "No prob . Sleep tight."
Tristan grinned, feeling like he'd found a connection. He wondered what next week would bring. Would they plan another date? Would they get even closer?
The next morning, Tristan was out with his friends, catching up on life. They asked about Priscilla, and Tristan found himself grinning like a fool. "Yeah, we had a movie night. It was cool."
His friends ribbed him good-naturedly. "You like her, man!" Tristan shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Maybe."
Max, one of his friends, turned to him with a curious look. "Dude, you and Priscilla getting serious?"
Tristan shrugged again, trying to play it down. "Nah, we're just vibing."
Max raised an eyebrow. "Vibing, huh? So you don't love her then?"
Tristan laughed awkwardly and said, "Nah, no love stuff."
His friends teased him a bit more, but Tristan brushed it off.
Later that day, he got a text from Isabella: "Hey cuz! Want to grab lunch sometime?"
Tristan smiled and replied: "Hey Isa! Yeah, let's grab lunch soon."
He also got a text from Marvin: "Yo, Tris! What's good?"
Tristan replied to Marvin: "Not much, vibing. You?"
Later that Monday, Principal Maxwell addressed the students in the school auditorium. "Good morning, students! I have an exciting announcement. As you know, our school is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and we're throwing a night party to mark the occasion!
It'll be a blast with music, food, and fun. We encourage all students to come and celebrate with us. Dress code is your best attire – so get those outfits ready!
More details will follow, but save the date! We're looking forward to seeing you there. "
The students erupted in cheers and chatter as Principal Maxwell smiled and dismissed them.
Tristan, sitting with his friends, turned to them with a grin. "Party at school? Count me in! "
Max piped up, "Dress to impress, guys! I gotta make sure Priscilla sees me looking fresh."
Tristan rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "You think she's gonna be there?"
As Tristan and his friends were talking, Isabella came in, holding Tristan's shoulder. "Hey, cuz! I heard you're in charge of the decorations for the party, right?" Isabella nodded, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Yea, my dad's the owner of Oxford College, so I'm in charge of the decor. And I know just the thing – you, Tristan, are coming with me to shop for a suit."
Tristan's eyes widened in surprise, but Isabella just winked at him. "Don't even think about saying no, cuz."
Max chuckled. "Isabella bella drove up in her latest Lamborghini, courtesy of her dad."
Isabella playfully rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Max."
The two of them headed out, leaving the others behind. They spent the day shopping, with Isabella dragging Tristan from store to store, trying on suits and laughing together. They had a blast, playing in the shopping mall, trying on ridiculous outfits and making silly faces in the mirrors.
As they drove back home, the silence in the car was comfortable, but Isabella eventually broke it. "So, Tristan, tell me the truth... do you like Priscilla? Don't lie to me."
Tristan hesitated, trying to play it cool, but Isabella's piercing gaze made him cave. "Yeah, I like her."
Isabella grinned, a plan already brewing in her mind. "Have you asked her out?"
Tristan shook his head. "No, not yet. I'm kinda nervous."
Isabella chuckled. "Don't be. I've got a plan. I'll set it up for you to confess your love at the party."
Tristan's eyes widened. "What? No, Isabella..."
But Isabella just patted his hand. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it. You'll be thanking me later."
As they pulled up to Tristan's place, Isabella turned to him, a mischievous glare in her eyes. "So, Priscilla... is she free?"
Tristan hesitated. "Free as... how do you mean?"
Isabella raised an eyebrow. "Don't you know? She and Marvin dated before. Something came up, but I'm not sure if they're still together."
Tristan's heart sank, a hint of worry creeping in.
Tristan quickly pulled out his phone and messaged Marvin: "Yo bro, wanna play basketball later? "
Marvin replied almost instantly: "Definitely, I'm in. When and where?"
Tristan smiled, feeling a surge of excitement. "How about 6 at the courts?"
As they met up and started playing, Tristan couldn't help but bring up the topic on his mind. "Yo, Marvin... are you still dating... you know... Priscilla?"
Marvin looked at him, a hint of surprise on his face. "Dating? No way, bro. We broke up a long time ago. I'm over her."
Tristan's heart skipped a beat as he tried to play it cool. "Ooo, no... broke up, huh? "
Marvin nodded, dribbling the ball. "Yeah, we weren't really working out. I'm good now."
Tristan felt like he was floating. "Bro, you sure? I... I want to ask her out."
Marvin looked at him with a grin. "I said we're not together, so go shoot your shot, man! "
Tristan couldn't help but pump his fist in excitement. He felt like his greatest dream had come true. He couldn't wait to ask Priscilla out.
As they kept playing, Tristan's mind was racing. He was going to do it. He was going to ask Priscilla out.
The game ended, and they parted ways. Tristan texted Priscilla: "Hey . Want to grab coffee with me tomorrow?"
He waited anxiously for her reply, his heart beating fast.
Priscilla replied: " Sure, sounds like a plan."
Tristan grinned, feeling like he was on top of the world.
Tristan couldn't believe Marvin's words: "Go shoot your shot, man!" He felt like he was walking on air as he left the courts. He texted Priscilla: "Hey . Want to grab coffee with me tomorrow?"
Priscilla replied quickly: " Sure, sounds like a plan."
Tristan grinned, feeling like he'd won the lottery. He couldn't wait to see her tomorrow.
As he walked home, he called Isabella. "Hey, cuz! Marvin said they're not together. I'm gonna ask her out!"
Isabella squealed. "Yay! I told you my plan would work! Now, let's make it epic. Come by my place tomorrow before the date and we'll get you looking ."
Tristan laughed. "Sounds like a plan, thanks Isa!"
Isabella hung up, and Tristan couldn't stop smiling
😊Tristan arrived at Isabella's place, feeling a bit nervous about the night party. Isabella opened the door, looking stunning in a silver dress ✨.
"Hey, cuz! Get in here and let's get you looking in that black suit."
Tristan chuckled, handing her a small gift bag. "Got you something."
Isabella peeked inside and smiled. "Aww, thanks! Now, let's get you dressed."
She helped Tristan into his sleek black suit and black shoes. He looked like a million bucks .
Isabella adjusted his tie. "Perfect. You look like a total ."
Tristan laughed. "Thanks, Isa. Gonna make Priscilla's jaw drop."
Isabella grinned. "That's the plan . Now, let's head to the party!"
They arrived at the school, transformed into a glamorous venue . Music pulsed through the halls.
Isabella nudged Tristan. "There's Priscilla. Go get her, tiger! "
Tristan spotted Priscilla laughing with friends and took a deep breath. Time to make his move.
