"Cute" Conrad muttered an amused smile on his face

He was surprised to know that his mate would actually show up like this

Just before he could open the door of his room the knob actually turned and he waited to see who was so daring to enter his room without knocking and that was when his inner wolf reacted

Been all excited when it popped up to him, his mate was right outside his door

But the door never opened his patience was running out, he sensed her wanting to leave.

And his hand went over to the door to open it even if he at first didn't feel the need to

But his inner wolf Derick won't budge and he was also curious he opened the door dragging her in as he pressed her to the wall.

His eyes was quick to notice the shiny steel of the dagger that wasn't so obvious but he wasn't someone with no knowledge of weapons.

He stopped the little hand that was clenched on the dagger ready to attack him a bit surprised at her courage.

Looking down at those pair of eyes that seem to hold many thoughts, those lashes that was like a pair of little fans,

'hmm she was beautiful

He could tell she was checking him out

Conrad's gaze couldn't help falling on her cherry lips.

It was like falling into a bewitching world he couldn't resist her cute lips, initiating the kiss, he explored her mouth his hand snaking down her waist in a firm grip, he kissed her passionately arousing his desires and he could swear the restraint he has always prided himself with almost snapped.

she was out of oxygen, he let go of her, an amused smile playing on his lips as he watched how she became flustered running away

I went back to my room dumbfounded, my face flushed I pinched my ears.

'A mate? Like this was never what I was expecting it wasn't that I didn't want a mate but...

It was just so sudden

'why did you run?go and accept him, quick

I could feel my wolf excitement, I couldn't explain the feeling but I wasn't repulsed by his kiss instead I thought to why he didn't claim me immediately I have heard of how mates claim each other immediately after meeting of how they couldn't hold back their desires and so on.

He was rumoured to be heartless and cold. I guess the mate bond wasn't too effective on him

' but what was that just now, he was teasing me and intimately holding me

but wait, why did I run?

Oh damn Talia! you could have just hold in your emotions why did you have to embarrass yourself like that

What happened to been calm and nonchalant where did all my training go? How could it all crumble in front of him

I remembered how he wrapped his arms around me while kissing me so passionately and I blushed biting my swollen lips

'come on Talia, why are you been all mushy just because of a kiss. If I had known I would have dated those guys Ava introduced to me.

I would have at least be experienced in these stuff and not embarrass myself in front of him

Remembering his teasing words my cheeks went red again

'shameless, he was shameless.

But wait... Why was I angry at not being able to keep my calm before him?

'Damn this mate bond, I cursed.

*Knock knock

I immediately turned to look at the door warily

"Lady Natalia, are you there? I heard the voice of Anne calling out to me i huff in relief that it wasn't him

Opening the door to see Anne's smiley face as she invited me to dinner

Walking down the steps to the dinning I saw Levi and gamma calab was already sitted chatting away while chuckling. I guess they hit it off

"Oh, lady Natalia is here please join us for the feast. Gamma Caleb cheerfully invited me.

"Oh thanks gamma calab. I smiles in appreciation taking my seat I looked around my eyes wandering around but came back to my senses

'I was actually looking for him. I really might be going crazy '

"You can drop the formalities and call me Caleb.

I am an actual fan of yours, it amazes me seeing a female who doesn't lose to a man in her fighting prowess, it's a hard thing to see female warriors and you are the most suitable female figure out there that can be respected

Caleb commented enthusiastically

" Then I am honored to be a fighter others can look up to.

But I think the female warrior from your pack, deserves that honour I heard she's one who can't be messed with. I said seeking for information about my opponent and also returning the flatter in favor.

"Haha, you are really something returning flatter with flatter but I mean what I say.

I would let you know more later let's eat. He expertly dodge my seeking ears.

And we laughed it off

Waking up to the morning sunlight, I walked into the bathtub releasing my tied up hair to fall on my shoulders

Not wasting my time enjoying the calming water as I had plans of touring the city this morning and woke up a bit late

I dressed up putting on a black tight leather trouser and a white inner top hanging a black jacket over my shoulders. I went down stairs

Walking down the stairs I was surprised to see the dinning lively I thought I would be eating alone as I woke up late but everyone seems to just began eating.

Anne looked up to see Talia staring in surprise

" Lady Talia, come have a seat. Anne ushered

"Good morning, I greeted everyone at the table taking my seat

" Seems like you both hit it off huh? I smiled at Caleb and Levi who were discussing deeply not noticing when I came

"Oh, we seem to have similar topics to chat about,Levi replied

"Yeah. Caleb agreed immediately

"That's nice, he should still be home and joining us for breakfast.

"Who? I asked inquisitively

"Alpha conrad of the blood moon pack"

" My breath seemed to become irregular just from knowing he would be here

' gosh Talia can you not even control ur emotions it's just the mate bond I don't have to act possessed I mentally scolded myself.
