The marble colours of dawn spread across the sky,as sunlight peeked from the curtains to luminate the dim room.

Opening my eyes to the daylight, sitting up to stretch and muffling a yawn I pulled down my quilt and heeded to the bathroom

Looking at my reflection on the mirror, I tied my long brown hair into a ponytail to brush.

Dressing up I headed downstairs to the dinning and everyone was already sitted

"Good morning dad, morning mum Levi good morning.

"How was your night princess, mum asked a smile on her lips

"Great! I answered taking a slice of toasted bread to eat.

"You returned late yesterday, Alpha Albert my dad asked

" Uhh... I was with Ava.

"You shouldn't stay out late, it isn't safe. Mum scolded

"Ppffft... Levi burst into laughter

"Who isn't safe by staying out late? Levi mocked

"Only if she isn't the threat to the night, Levi continued and mom glared at Levi

Finishing breakfast I spoke...

" Dad I want to confirm something I heard.

"What? Both Levi and my dad turned to look at me

"I heard of the request from the night demon pack about a match with me. But I wasn't informed till now...

I looked at Levi who's eyes held a not so surprised look and dad who's attention went back to wiping his lips with a napkin

I waited for him to finish and he asked me to follow him to the study as he headed there immediately

I shared a glance with Levi and stood up to go to dad's study

Levi followed me

"Who told you? Levi asked on the way

"Almost everyone knew except me, what do you expect? And why did you hide it?

"If you heard about it then you should know it isn't all it is.

"You should still have told me. I argued

"Well... You aren't going to accept it right? He asked

"I would.

"Talia! It's dangerous although I don't doubt your skill as your spar partner but that pack is superior to us! We can't offend them. Levi's voice sounded firmly

"I know, I wouldn't want to put our pack in danger but that doesn't mean I will accept provoking

"What provokation that you can't ignore? He asked even when knowing what I mean

"You know better what I am saying, and...

The large doors to the study was pushed open by the knight stationed at the entrance interrupting me as we both went in quietly

"Dad... I called, he was sitting on the chair behind the large study table.

"Natalia, Alpha Albert called calmly

"I understand what you might have thought, and know you want to shut that rumour down with your actions and I of course trust your ability but the match is going to take place in their territory I can't risk your safety.

"Why? But they were the one posing a request match, so they are supposed to come to our pack.

"Yes, but they refused and they are superior to us, so it isn't strange that they wouldn't accept coming over to our territory.

"Talia, you need to understand and ignore all of their acts. Levi added

"But... Talia wanted to argue

"You can leave I will discuss with your brother about it and know if we can compromise or find an alternative but I'm not promising anything. Alpha Albert spoke looking at his beautiful daughter who seemed insistent on what she set her mind on.

"Okay dad. I replied walking out of the study and to the archery ground.

A pair of cold eyes looked up, his eyes carrying a dangerous glint as he was half thinking as he waited for his beta's report

"After sending the half dead spies back as a warning, I confirmed that alpha Lucas of the Red moon pack participated in the abetting of going against you, so as you ordered I planted a spy in their secret alliance and also dropped a bait. But they are been overly secretive and careful, so it will take a while for them to take the bait .Arnaud reported

"Immediately the bait is taken, you can proceed with attacking, all alpha's directly participating in the alliance... Make sure they don't live.

"I want to see the ambush plan by tomorrow, each of their territory would be seized make the necessary preparation it would serve as a warning to the others.Alpha Conrad's voice sounded heavily his eyes narrowing into the darkness of his study.

"Someone is instigating them in the dark, so make sure you deal with this alone, use the secret knights if you must

"I would do that immediately. Arnaud replied as he turned to go only to return back.

"Alpha, Sofia requested a match with a pack which has been accepted by them, our pack is the host. Arnaud reported

"Which pack?

"The midnight pack. They are said to have fiercely trained warriors and also into weaponry.

"Okay. If the preparation are done for it, you can proceed but they should live in my mansion don't keep outsiders likely to be an enemy far from you it's better to be within sights

"Okay. They would arrive in a week, the mission will be already taken care of by then

" Good.

" What? I asked my eyes not living my target as I fired my arrow and it hits perfectly, I dropped my bow turning to face my brother

"Dad accepted. He announced

"Good thing.i replied

"I don't think so, he retorted frowning

"Why are you so against me going to the match, you never disapprove any of my previous matches even those that took place away from our territory. I asked confused.

"Yes. You don't know this but the challenger...

she has attended every of your match, every single one and I heard she isn't a nice person

" Pffft... Woah, I never thought there would come a day you would worry about those kind of things. If am afraid of someone who had watched all my match then I don't think I can fight in a battle.

"She had obviously observed most of your fighting tricks and ways. So the fight won't be fair to you, you haven't even seen her fight once.

"You just don't want me to go, don't worry and trust in me. I won't disappoint.

"I'm going with you though, that's the condition dad set for you to go.

"Really? I am okay with that. So when is it?

"We would be going in a week. So pack up before then.

"Sure.
