NINA'S POV My pulse pounded in my ears, my mind a frantic mess. I curled my fingers into my thighs to keep myself grounded, to keep from breaking down. A lanky man stood before us, his face pale, his stance rigid. Zane’s dark eyes pinned him in place. “Speak.” The man swallowed hard. “I-I was there.
