KAI'S POV
“Don't embarrass me today, you dimwit.” My father’s voice was sharp as we walked the halls of the Moonlight pack house. “I heard about your little fiasco with a delta. Stay out of sight.”
My nose flared, my anger simmering below the surface but I kept my composure. “Yes Alpha.”
We stopped in front of Alpha Zane’s study. His Beta appeared out of nowhere, eyes assessing us like we were lesser beings before announcing our presence. I swallowed a scowl.
My father turned to me, eyes cold. “I don’t know what you said to convince Zane to accept our alliance, nor do I care, but it’s good to see you’re worth something at least.”
