I stood in front of my mirror, staring at my reflection. The dress I got fit like a glove and I let my hair fall in loose waves.
So many uncertainties had crowded my life but just for this night I would let myself be… not sad.
I sighed, walking out of my room and into the living room.
“Oh my God, Nini, you look amazing.” Summer beamed as soon as she saw me. Her golden hair was pulled into a sleek ponytail, and her dress accentuated every curve.
Chase appeared beside her, his ever-present smirk firmly in place. His gaze lingered on me, something unreadable flickering in his eyes. “You clean up nice, chipmunk.”
