NINA'S POV
I knew I shouldn't have been eavesdropping but ever since I got back everyone had been staring at me like I grew another head.
I had asked the Alpha about my father on the way here. His answer was vague, unsettling.
“You'll get to see him soon.”
That was what he said. Although the way he said it made me anxious. What the hell was going on? And what was stranger?
The Alpha seemed familiar. Like someone I had known all my life and the way he looked at me when I couldn't recognize him. I tightened my grip on the hot cup of coffee.
I focused my hearing on Summer and Chase. They had been acting strange. I wasn't yet ready to question the source of my new powers but right now…
“What? How the hell am I supposed to tell her that the only family she had left is gone?”
