NINA’S POV “I come in peace,” the stranger said, lifting his hands in surrender. I stopped his movement with a glare, fingers tightening around his wrists. He huffed out a laugh, lips curving into a smirk. “Stronger than I thought, Nina.” My stomach twisted. I hadn’t told him my name. Instead of asking how he knew it, I let my fist fly, cracking against his jaw with satisfying force. He barely reacted. “Last chance,” I warned, voice low. He smiled through the blood coating his teeth, and I hated the way it sent a cold shiver skating down my spine. “I’m an ally. No doubt about that,” he said. “Heard you were snooping around my house… looking for your dear friend.” My chest clenched. I yanked him forward by the collar until our faces were inches apart. “Where’s Summer?” I growled.
