“Are you going to be okay by yourself kiddo?” he asked as he caught me staring emptily outside the window of the car.
I rolled my eyes to cover up the tension I was feeling “I'm not ten dad.. I can handle highschool” I paused and grimaced “Even if it's swarming with a bunch of human teenagers and raging hormones”
