SUMMER'S POV
“Come on Nina, it'll be fine.” I said smiling softly to her. “I'm here with you.”
Nina pursed her lips, standing tensely at the school gates.
Since this whole incident had happened, this was the best thing that could happen… to me that is.
Dr Sarah had suggested that Nina got back to school and I seconded it. Anything to keep her distracted. Anything to keep her from asking the wrong questions.
Honestly, I'd been losing sleep thinking Nina would finally be curious enough to find out what happened that night, to find her fragmented memories.
But she had been putting all her energy into overcoming the grief of losing her dad. I sympathized with her but she was always in the pack house, or at the graveyard… or the forest.
